  1. Sorry, slightly OT, but does anyone know the maximum time after death that an autopsy can be performed?
  2. What an absolute tragedy. Pockets, I can only imagine the anguish you and the pup's owners must be feeling.

    Coco

Beautiful words Kayla. Tears pouring down my face as I read it. So sorry for your loss. RIP Coco.
  4. I'd also recommend a vet visit as I know exactly how you must have felt. Two weeks ago we had just left home for an on-lead walk when Misha spotted a dog being walked 200 metres ahead of us, she went completely ballistic which was totally out of character for her. I was shocked! I did a 180 and took her home and started to groom her when I noticed that the inside of her floppy ears were red and hot. I went to the vet the next day and it turned out she had yeast infection in both ears. Her ears are good again and she is back to her normal non-reactive self when on lead.
  5. So sorry for your loss Ripley. RIP sweet Millie
  6. What a beautiful big boy he was, you can see the love in his eyes. I'm guessing he lived to a good age? RIP Gator
  7. The mesh on the main door of the soft crates from K9Pro have a broad X shaped reinforcement made from the same material as the walls. I'd be surprised if any dog could get through it! Link here: http://www.k9pro.com.au/products/Soft-Dog-Crate-MEDIUM-%252d-80L-X-55W-X-60H.html Unfortunately the pics don't show the reinforcing!
  8. It must be so hard to let a good dog go but it's great that Flick will be close enough for you to see her occasionally, hopefully that will make it easier.
  9. +1 They are so placid! Misha would have it ripped off in minutes lol!
  10. So sorry for your loss Dog_Horse_Girl. Such a hard decision to make. RIP Lilly

  12. I keep popping into this thread hoping for more country pound puppy pics :) I have loved following their stories. Thank you!
  13. I don't find things in my girl's bed! Until 2 months ago she slept on my bed. She now sleeps in her crate so probably doesn't yet see it as her safe hiding place for treasures :) Her preferred hiding place has always been under the cushions on the divan in the back room. Occasionally the treasured object slips down between the divan and the wall and I get summoned urgently to help her retrieve it!! So far her treasures haven't been as gross as most of the other posts
  14. Well done Miah I think Miah is stunning, I love reading your posts about her!
  15. So sorry for your loss KM. She was too young to be taken from you.
  16. Food costs about $7 a week for my 8 kilo girl. Mainly VAN roll and a chicken wing each night, a chicken frame once a week as main meal. Sardines are added to main meal once a week, a raw egg is added once a week. Added to that is the cost of regular medications for heartworm prevention, worms, and fleas, plus immunisations. To date we've had about 4 visits a year to the vet at a minimum cost of $150 per visit. Until she was 18 months old I spent heaps on things like crates, beds, collars and leads, toys, rain wear, grooming needs etc. Hate to think what that added up to!
  17. me too! Happy Birthday Stan the Man :)
