  1. It seems like a great idea. I'm interested in funding it but I don't know how durable they are for a destroyer like my boy
  2. I bawled my eyes out reading the article on the daily news. I hope they catch and prosecute the idiots behind this.
  3. Move to the ACT. :) It's something I consider from time to time. I actually quite like the sound of the ACT, who knows?! :) Just pick up a brown cardigan at the border :D I like it here and its not too bad from a dog friendliness perspective. Expensive, stinking hot in summer and freezing cold in winter. Yep book me a ticket :p Or NT! I'm in the same boat of loving APBT and I recently had a job opportunity in NT and that was the first thing I looked up.. No BSL in ACT or NT
  4. According to Mr Taliecat we don't have any in the yard, but I'll have a good look around the side garden tomorrow for it. I second the sardines for helping with skin issues though, I'll be sure to pick up some more.
  5. We've got an Amstaff boy that seems to suffer from contact allergies in spring.. And sure enough, spring is here are during his morning check over he's popped up with a rash in his armpits again. We've already cleared the yard of the usual suspects (wandering dew, Moses in a basket) when we moved into this place, but it appears that we've missed something. Any advice for other plants we may have missed or things that we can do to help prevent the flare ups (food, supplements, goodies)? We're off to the vet tomorrow to get some more neocort and probably some antibiotics, so he'll at least have some relief but the poor guy has been itching for a bit so there must be something that's setting him off.
  6. I believe it was in this thread... http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/259171-vip-natures-goodness-grain-free-wild-game-with-sweet-potato/page__pid__6554550#entry6554550 And I believe this could be the batch info. best before date of 07/01/2016 and the number C 22157.
  7. That was so beautiful. I wish I could say my sniffles were from my cold. But nope.. Eta: auto correct has gremlins
  8. Oh wow. The socks and the rubber duckies were insane. I'm lucky Dozer is just a sock stealer and not an eater.. Although it's always a game to get the sock back
  9. No names as yet... But we've decided that when Dozer goes over the bridge (we've got a decade at the least), we'll be looking at Miniature bull terriers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers... Still bull breeds which we love, but pint sized ones compared to our giant Am-staff..
  10. I'm absolutely in love with rotties, sight hounds (saluki, greyhounds) a couple of other large breeds, when realistically I really can only handle smaller breeds due to health issues... Doesn't stop me from looking though
  11. That video is just amazing. I can't wait to see more
  12. An honorable mention also goes to Tanika, the in - law's dog who is a Pharoah houndxlab.. She's so loveable and she cracks me up when she runs, because she does the sight hound run, on a lab body...
  13. I love how Dozer will (sometimes) sleep at the foot of the bed, but every morning without fail he'll worm his way in between his humans for wakeup kisses and cuddles. I am also amazed by how much space one amstaff can take up in a queen size bed and how much he hogs the covers.
  14. Is there anyway you'd be able to round up some crutches or walking sticks and a few friends/family members and do some positive associations around those types of items with Didi? And then perhaps move onto the friends/family assisting with familiarising her with people walking with assistance.
  15. I would think it's frustration. My boy does the same thing when he gets a bully stick or a bone.
  16. Oh wow. That's 5 star parenting at its best! I only wish more parents were like that
  17. Oh goodness. If I didn't have my amstaff boy I'd be all over those two boys. Rescue is a wonderful option
  18. I've been following this thread with interest as I've got quite a reactive Amstaff. I'm finally in the position to be able to afford a behaviorist and was wondering if anyone knew of a good one in Brisbane/gold coast sort of area.
  19. Twice a day for us. At around 5:30am and around 7pm for dinner. If we're home earlier of an evening, dinner might be a little earlier. But I've noticed the majority of the poo production happens in the morning
  20. I saw them a few months ago. Unfortunately there were none that would have fit our boy
  21. Yay another aussie dog movie! I can't wait for this one
  22. I'm sure there were some threads about it a while back. If I can master the search function I'll see if I can link them... But from memory the Kirkland grain free is manufactured by diamond pet food which is the same as TOTW
  23. We have family looking after our boy while we're in Bali at the moment. I miss him millions at the moment. Only Another 5 days till I get to see him
