  1. I would do a little jig if served that good Blue cheese! Just shows what great taste Mac has. Tibor was partial to smoked salmon mousse. What can I say? It meant sustenance for him & he loved it.
  2. Obviously low intelligence if the mighty Vizsla does not score a mention *winks*
  3. Butter would melt in that mouth! I would hope ( and can imagine) he is full of life and a great joy even if mischievous :D
  4. Just to say I am totally distracted by this cute puppy!!!!!!!!!!!! Squuuuueeeeee on ALL counts. He's adorable & I love the name!
  5. aw, gorgeous!!!! Shall look forward to puppy photos soon. Welcome to the forum
  6. How long before new puppy arrives, Willowlane? I would not be wanting to train two dogs at once for crate training. Life will be full on with just the puppy for a start. You will then have the dynamics of the older dog having to deal with changes a plenty....
  7. Our Vets have always agreed with that attitude. And their pockets have not always been lined with a consulation fee. For me, Vet trust is a crucial part of animal ownership.
  8. Started that off with that very method and continued over all the years of the different dogs. At least once a month, we would have timeout pretending they were a puppy again. They always loved hugbug time And thought my lullabys the best.
  9. Keep in mind to even take time by the day or half day...I know you undertand what I am saying... The best thing is that Mac is surrounded by love... I am of the firm beliefs love conquers many things. HUGS & LOVE
  10. One could even say Whippets have the patent on skills of thieving.... Little cuties they are.
  11. That's our wee man!!!! Bless his dear little Heart! Hours with Granny would be such a grand tonic.
  12. I am in NSW too. We are allowed to take dogs on leashes to shows and keep them under control. Once the puppies were 12 weeks I would take them to shows just for the variety & epxeriences. Just need to keep the dog away from any dogs being shown to let dogs & handlers concentrate on the aim of the day. With a great group of friends, it can be a lovely outing.. :D
  13. LOL.... Ernie sounds so like the Vizslas! Water!!!! Water!!!! Momma, I gotta go dive in that water. And off they go. A little OT, but i used to do a neat recall with Gabor as he charged towards a creek & his cruel Momma did not want to clean him up.
  14. Given the weather is getting colder, could you re-do the walk so the handsome Ernie bypasses the creek? Mind I know Pong of Vizsla very well. Herbert is having a love affair with the lagoon in the back paddock. He is on full ban from getting near the car until the warmer weather if he presents 'damp' AND 'pongy'.
  15. At the very least a Vizsla greeting, and I heard a Rotti might also greet in similar fashion...
  16. No that was Dimples now known as 'Sapper' much loved by his dad Andrew Mind you Sapper was a snot of a puppy the day after his 'Puppy Pre-School Graduation' he did this ... little bugger lol Sorry but I heard a different story..... a cat invaded the lounge room and made all this mischief. LOL. It's a long standing & well know fact many an innocent puppty gets blamed for stuff. *winks* I joke too.
  17. Stan maybe as dumb as a box of rocks but when it comes to food he's a Rhodes Scholar! Maddie on the other hand is an evil genius O.o and I can't even see the cat :/ don't tell me they were stupid enough to put it next to the greyhound :p Cat is near the papillon
  18. Absolutely dumb as.... No Hungarian Vizslas... WTF????
  19. Boof has been such an integral part of your life, there's not one iota of selfishness I can perceive. Simply a much loved puppy's owner doing the final bravest thing for the dog. Outside world will still be going round. These are your days with Boofy as he prepares for his final journey. You have Olivia to watch as well. Let Boof & Olivia be your world at the moment Sending ongoing prayers with love.
  20. SIL took her poodle to the Vet. SIL could see worms wriggling in the tummy. She was horrified at the thought of her precious girl having worms. Vet told me SIL was even MORE horrified when he advised worms were growing puppies. Brain surgeon of a SIL asked how it happened!!!!!! Yep, she had the (intact) brother to the bitch. But you see, brother & sister dogs never mate together because that's wrong. Vet dined out on that for ages.
