  1. SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! What a wonderful lot of photos and story to share. Stunning boy. I am sure your heart boys look over Wolff, and you.
  2. Wonders, hoepfully, if there is a chance I might be reincarnated and come to your home, (please) ? Seems just the right amount of cruelty.
  3. Hugs to you, first of all. Natural to feel overwhelmed. I am sure you will manage really well. Try to use the forum as a sounding place if you are feeling worried. Dont have a recuperating dog without talking to others who understand your pov. Not had experience with a large breed. But did nurse a 6 year old CKCS male ( intact) after surgery. Like your boy he was used to the crate so he was OK. He got diagnosed about 4 months before the surgery became absolutely needed. He was on a regime of Glucosamaine & Rose Hip syrup. He got taken to a Holistic Vet for this. Post-surgery went fine with recovery well within the Specialist's hopes. He is now nearly 12.... I would suggest checking if your own Vet thinks these supplements might help. Oh, his diet was BARF as well.
  4. Usually the drain can come out when the discharge is 'clear'. Most times there is little discharge in any case. Hugs to both of you
  5. HaHa!!! Of course jumping is fun if Momma wants that mat stepped on. Whoever said dogs were dumb knew little about them. What a toot to imagine your dog deliberately avoiding the mat. (Typical too)
  6. Thank you for sharing at this sad time. You know in that photo, Leopuppy looked just like that little fur-ball you described. HUGS to you . Be free, Leopuppy
  7. That is such a nice change for people ( and their pets). When we read of people having to hide their dogs/pets or rehouse, this is so much better. Great share, english.ivy Needed nice today.
  8. Indeed. Good story, good coffee. The day may get better.
  9. good for Digby because you spark as well. HUGS & LOVE xxxxx
  10. So agree. The new puppy is acting like it's a dog-given right to have Momma on tap 24/7. Powerful ear-plugs work as do not making eye contact with those woeful big golden brown saucers of eyes.... Momma rules, Puppy. Momma *winks*
  11. Chainsaws are lethal weapons for sure. Glad you had a neighbour who was a cavalier and came to your aid, DDD. :)
  12. A decrease in incidents is great. It is annoying when reports make headlines that are inaccurate. That's one of my gripes.
  13. I suspect Horrible Herbert read this thread. He's getting ideas above his station in life. Woke to the less than one month old memory foam mat covered in cotton corduroy ALL in pieces. Must be a none too subtle way of hoping to get a better bed. (Not been the same for him since he was expelled from my bed ) Sighs. :)
  14. I am so very sorry to read this update. Sending LOVE & HUGS to you all. Darling Big Guy, I hope you have meet Gabor at the Rainbow Bridge. He will look after you.
  15. Tears in my eyes to read this..... if it is not the best summary of rescue then I do not know what is. A month already? The Universe surely knew how to give Benny a wonderful chance of a new life. Fun times that weekend I will always recall. Abundant Blessings to all. ps. stunning photos

  17. Sending healing vibes for all of you. Below is a site I have of poisons that are toxic to dogs & cats. ( North American site) Caffeine is mentioned as is chocolate. http://www.petpoisonhelpline.com/poisons/ We should be careful all the time.
  18. Colour flavour of the moment.... blue staffy. Poor breeding bitches if misused.
  19. The breeders of our old boy Vizsla thought the same. They had an older bitch which was in the house when his Momma whelped. Her aim was one thing and one thing only. She wanted the puppies gone. They had to re-house her with relatives for the entire first 2 months of the puppies' existence. She hated them. On the other hand, the patriach of the latest puppy does 'puppy duty' until their teeth appear. Then he begs to be rehoused. His son is their goofy Uncle from the moment the bitch allows contact. He specialises in teaching social skills to the puppies. Does a brilliant job. :)
  20. That is so touching....dear little poppet.
  21. I agree. Have the dog checked as soon as possible. All the best.
  22. How old is the dog? Do you know him already?
