  1. Yes they tend to mature differently even between sexes, imo. You could still consider a Boxer. :D
  2. It is stated in the Breed Standards here in Australia Faults: Any departure from the foregoing points should be considered a fault and the seriousness with which the fault should be regarded should be in exact proportions to its degree. Serious Faults - Pronouncedly undershot mouth Gay tail (trumpet tail) [curved over the back] Sizes larger or smaller than the limits allowed. Disqualifying Faults - Overshot mouth Accentuated convergence or divergence of the facial-cranial axes [Dish- or down-faced] Bridge of nose concave or convex or very aquiline (Roman nose). Total lack of pigmentation on the nose. Total lack of pigmentation on the upper and lower eye lids. Wall eye; cross eyed. Absence of wrinkles, folds and dewlap. Absence of tail, whether congenital or artificial. Extensive white patches; white markings on the head. Breeders I know never allow such a puppy to leave their kennels unless on Limited register and desexed if this fault exists.
  3. You might get a quicker reply from K9 (Steve Courtney). The lovely BC Crazy got a harness from them with great service. :)
  4. What lovely model!!!! Just checked the site out. And am enabled.
  5. Yes, I agree with this. But ( as is with most things dog) it is not your dog that may make trouble. It is a dog belonging to a human who may not be as caring as you. Try to consider finding humans whose conduct with dogs is something you respect. See if an intro can come that way. I had a 'rolleye your eyes experiences' at a dog park a few weeks ago. I had the 8 month old Vizsla male on lead walking around the perimeter. A lady arrived with 2 small dogs AND one bigger dog. All three made a beeline to us. The puppy sat on my instruction. ( Yay!!!!) The two yappers literally climbed over him. The bigger dog decided to growl. Appeared he did not think the yappers should be so close. Luckily, their owner called them & they went off. Point was I did not want this interaction. I was pleased how the puppy behaved. I never want that again though. Please be careful. :)
  6. Having watched a CKCS being over-feed for too long by her well meaning human, I think it is a mind-set with them. Once the Vet gave the human the labelled food that would do the miracle, weight loss was attainable. Yet the same gal could stay with me and eat RAW & lose weight.
  7. A most mutual circle of adopration, admiration AND love. Hoping for more boredom another night.
  8. Can occur. Dogs can be sore, miserable and achy after vaccinations. They can be moody, cranky as well. Usually there is an improvement within 24 hours t0 48 hours. For some dogs, it is like the Flu shot for humans. Hopefully Josie recovers quickly as you montior her. :)
  9. Swoons Talk about Gioia di vivere (joy of life)
  10. SIL has Mareemas. Has had all of them since they were puppies. Their boundaries are defined and they know their roles. Took a lot of time, work. After the unexpected death of her husband, Mareemas were just what she wanted. Even the alpha male will 'tolerate' visitors he has knows. The grandchildren have been watched over so carefully by him. No rough & tumble ever. :)
  11. Our breed Club had an old fella found down Mildura way. From what I know he just turned up and got impounded. NB, I may not have all the facts. Our Rescue co-ordinator arranged his release, foster care, Vet treatment AND successful re-housing in less time than he was impounded. Sad for some though.
  12. I have always found the more special a dog, the better they can/could answer back. And all we ever did was giggle. Baylee is quite quite special.
  13. On the contrary, membership is worldwide provide one is financial. :)
  14. Yay!!!!! Top update. Paws crossed for a bright future for Archie & his new family.

  16. That is good. My friend lost valuable shopping time in QLD. At least her credit card was happy. ETA: Loving, just loving the EARS! So very stylish
  17. Check about if the store you are going to let you register onsite. The QLD stores had some hassles and expected newcomers to register online before making any purchases. Would hate to have shopping disrupted. :D
  18. Hamlet, aka Honey-Bunch Beautiful boy!
