  1. We need a LIKE button. Most savvy group :) The topic interests me because of on-going issues with the 8 month Vizsla. Has the strength of a steam train. Yes, I am working out the most suitable course of action with him.
  2. Yes, yes and yes. Again, as long as the handler is trained in the proper used of a prong. For me this is the very key to the issue. Guidance from a competent trainer is the foundation. Well said.
  3. And a 'troubled' one at that - so dangerous and inconsiderate For sure.
  4. Bit confused. That FB link was for dog photos?
  5. Two DOlers I can think of might fit your needs. kelpiecuddles & Luv Vern
  6. Walking a Great Dane in a pack and no leashes? That's foolhardy.
  7. Let him be given oral substances that cause crippling pains
  8. Timely explanation. Was returning to the thread to ask the differences between the Black Dog halters. Off to find a measuring tape. Thank you :D
  9. Our forum has a great thread on Pet Friendly accomodation. http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/179318-pet-friendly-accommodation/ Life and a dog or dogs is a life of planning AND lots of fun, imo. We humans need to decide what is best always. :D
  10. I am convinced dearest Dougal has orchestrated this. I doubt any animal lucky enough to be loved by you would ever, or could ever mind. HUGS, dearest Lady
  11. I would PRAY in the name of Dog that this creep gets a fitting sentence/fine. I am going to be aghast if a mere slap on the wrist result happens. May the Magistrate have a set and apply the law.
  12. Welcome!!!! Preferable to ask now rather than do an impulse buy of a puppy and then get stuck. I have found people doing this end up having a really happy time when they eventually do get a dog/puppy. What you may also find is a kind of a need to be near a cute puppy, weekends away drop in importance. What we did was find a balance. Many more places are now dog friendly. You might even be able to take yours with you. If special weekends like a trip away to watch a sports match or entertainment come up, you may have enough time to find kennels near to your destination. With the internet, heaps of options exist. Hope this helps. :)
  13. Is this biased comment? Bit unusal for a first post to involve slagging off a company. Makes me wonder. Maybe you might expand your reasons.
  14. Horrible Herbert is banned from looking at DOL. He gets ideas of better comfort. Great work. :D
  15. They are lighter and easier However two different friends with similar crates had both dogs roll them over. There is a problem with sturdiness too. ETA: crates were purchased from online shops not specialising in quality dog equipment.
  16. Thanks for the review. My breeder gave us Petplan. I am having issues with deductions. This is documented by others too. I am looking at other options. I notice they won MDBA best insurer this year.
  17. Poppy Photo feast!!! Every photo is simply gorgeous.
  18. Checking in for an update on the STAR I think of Cooper very often, bianca.a Hoping for ongoing progress AND warmer weather really soon.
  19. How truly enchanting! Renae is so beautiful. Belated and Loving Birthday Wishes
  20. If he just humps dogs maybe. The SIL's poodle humped EVERYTHING, and I mean everything. He mounted my best friend's leg. When she chastised that behaviour, the poodle lay on its back and fell in love with her. Dog wanted defined boundaries. Humping means defining behaviour, imo. :)
  21. There will also be a silly lickey-licky Vizsla who adored cats around as well. Be free Dougal. I know there are bunnies a plenty at the Rainbow Bridge.
  22. Beautiful dogs to own AND to be owned by. Big welcome from a CKCS fan. Have you ever thought of getting help for Allison to overcome these issues? That also may be a better option than another dog, imo. I hope you will post photos of your dogs too. We all love photos. :D
