  1. Point I know you will keep in mind is this is your creation and hard work. By all means, others can dislike parts of it. But if you have ensured all is safe, then stiff..... if you know what I mean. :D Thats the theory I work on :)

  3. That is very cute :) I have shredders come in so we make them surprise boxes- a small box with a treat inside a bigger one etc. unless their owner says no We use food dispensing treats, treat toys with peanut butter and whatever that dog likes. Horrible Herbert has read this thread. He would like a booking please when all is ready. ps, He toilet rolls & cardboard boxes
  4. The more I am reading of these plans, the more I am thinking how cool WA could be for vacation. :)
  5. Plastic or real duckies or bunnies? (Soz just j/k). thinking this is going to be a neat backyard. Been thinking of a trip to WA. Could bring Horrible Herbert too
  6. How exciting! I hope you come back with photos later. We love photos :D What should happen is your breeder will give you his (current) food preferences. they would also suggest the amount to feed him. But, for the first months, Puppy will need to be feed at least 3 times daily. You can look at frozen chicken wings, chicken necks as treats. Avoid weight bearing bones. If all is OK, you may not need to worry about allergies. Please ask the breeder about that too. With treats, I avoid anything that has dyes in them. One particular brand causes my puppy to pass poos the same colour as the treats! Boy, does that give you a shock. Big Welcome to the forum. It's great to read of a new owner taking the steps to welcome their puppy. Keep the questions coming too.
  7. Liking this option ,persephone. I am just trying to keep the wee darling as comfortable as he deserves.
  8. Years ago I watched in horror as he supposedly 'trained' a Vizsla. At no point did that poor wee Vizsla ever become the calm, submissive dog, he claims they should be.
  9. Hmmm, he moves the bedding around a lot. Might be a problem. His sight is very poor. I am thinking vetbed on the floor might be OK. I could get two pieces to interchange if needed. :)
  10. I think they would have to be pretty old - in the eastern states its been at least 20 years. They sign a COE and agree to abide by that - register all puppies. 20 years ago I think there was only one registered Neo breeder in this country.
  11. A few weeks ago I would have said are you supremely stupid AND seriouly delusional. Then I had a rethink. Let Karma catch these idiots. I can try to support the likes of people like Dogmad & others who do the right thing. Words do fail me at how people are simply crass. Hoping for the wee gal to have a wonderful fur-ever home.
  12. They use them for Police & Military dogs. :)
  13. This is the due role of a rehomed dog. To be loved. To be cherished. To be adored. And, Dog willing, a safe home for ever. Bless you HazyWal
  14. Every day for Stan, should be meat pie day Stan is Spesial I'm pretty sure Stan's response to that would be.... 'Everyday WOULD be meat pie day if she would take the bloody lock off the fridge!' As I said, Stan is spesial. :D
  15. Yep....overtired before so made a mish-mash of what I was trying to ask. :)
  16. Sorry. I did not explain too well. I wanted to know if vetbed would be OK on the tile surface to absorb everything. The bed is elevated already and he has a choice of fleece covers, blankets and coats. Sorry for the confusion.
  17. Tibor will will 15 years in October. He is in the twilight times of a wonderful life. He sleeps in the laundry which is by the HWS. It is the warmest room in the house. There are no cords or anything dangerous for him. Several times during the night I am 'called' because he has to toilet. He no longer can use the stairs to access the back yard. If I miss the barking, he just goes in the corner ( away from his bed.) His bedding is super thick. I feel he needs something more. How would vetbed be for his comfort?
