  1. Paws crossed they are spooked, not too hurt AND are found soon. SO very sad.
  2. March of last year that happened. Seems not long ago. As if rescue is not stressful enough, any complication by accidents is awful. Really upsetting.
  3. One hour ago, the Charity FB site said this We are having conflicting information from the crash site. We are waiting for confirmation. Reports of the number of dead dogs are wildly fluctuating. Fingers crossed there are not many.

  5. A lovely man named Noel is the driver.

  7. A child gets entangled in leads, falls to the ground, is perceived as hurt AND they rush him home??????????????????????????????? One parent rushes for help. The other keeps the child quiet and comfortable at the scene. What if there was a spinal injury? Bah
  8. Refreshing change for a sh*t Monday
  9. How totally great you let us know. So glad this sweet Iggie is home and safe. Best Wishes
  10. Need a LIKE button for all the response.
  11. I admit i give Renae some raw carrot every so often (separate to the vege mixes I make up in the food processor for their meals rations) only because she cant have bones anymore but she seems to cope with some carrot (not a whole one) and it gives her a treat to chew on (under supervision) Shes been fine with her digestion ;) My breeder who is also a Vet gives any dog at her place RAW as you described with pulped vegies. She hands out carrots, brocoli stalks as treats in lieu of commerically made dog ones. Works great. :D
  12. We took out older fencing. We added colourbond. When we did that, we had two adult dogs who felt obliged to bark at the world. Soon as there was a new fence, barking stopped. Now with the new puppy, he has no issues. I wonder if the kids on the other side ever did something to spook your girl? Anxious by association here? I hope you find a solution. Good Luck
  13. What a pretty Poppet! Can not believe it is one year already. Happy Happy Birthday to a beautiful trio of totally fabulous puppies
  14. Might be why the quote was $12,000. A bit of a miracle type surgery. Good grief. Suggest a second opinion asap.
  15. Sending LOVE & Good vibes to Zephyr and you. Poppy is stunning
  16. Kinky. And I like it. ps Vicks or the generic rubbed on the socks might put the intrepid Spencer off.
  17. oh dear! My Vets never do that. They call me and recite the list of ingested evils. ( That was Gabor, another story specialist). :D
  18. Herbert has the spirit of our darling ZsaZsa in him. She is at The rainbow Bridge now. Apart from being universally known as Velcro dogs, Vizslas appear to be practically professional counter surfers. I have two wonderful memories of ZsaZsa in this regard. The minor one happened thus. We ( the slaves) were sitting in the lounge room, chilling out. Her Papa said that gal is very quiet. Momma( me) says 'that's dangerous then. 30 seconds later Madam ZsaZsa walks into the room with an empty plastic tray in her mouth. Being a Daddy's gal, she did the wiggle-bum walk over to him with a happily flashing docked tail. Dropped the empty tray at his feet. Then stood back. Papa understood at once. ZsaZsa wanted to make sure that cheese got added to the shopping list. She had just eaten 500 grams of a new packet. Of course, all dogs have those stories that out-do anything they have ever done before AND are ever likely to do again. I give you a family gathering for the December holidays. I have baked, and baked, and baked. I put ALL the dishes out on the bench. I made sure they were far enough back from the edge. We proceeded to enjoy the company of our visitors. ZsaZsa was in full adore me mode. :) Came time to serve afternoon tea. I went into the kitchen. Walked over to the plates of food. Intact! Not a crumb out of place. How I smiled at my gal. 'Good ZsaZsa' I even said. Then, yes then, I looked again.... Out of 4 plates, she had already eaten the SECOND row of the food. First row was intact. 2nd row gone. As I turned around and looked at her, SHE worked it out I knew she had sinned. She raced out the door and down stairs. Stayed out of range of me for the next hour. She sat watching me & I swear she smiled until she reasoned I was not going to tell her off. Dearest ZsaZsa
  19. Such an absolutely big gorgeous Black and Tan Puppy Oh Zeph squuuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  20. In your other post you said the dog seemed 'resigned' to being tied up. Would you or your friend like to be tied up or would you prefer to be comfortable & unfetted? it's not exactly nice to do that as a means of control, imo.
  21. My GREAT pleasure to share this, Anne. http://www.clubmarine.com.au/internet/clubmarine.nsf/docs/MG24-5+Coast+Watch 100 penguins now exist there.
