  1. Years ago, we saw this exact behaviour of dingoes on Fraser Island. Humans are stoopid
  2. Horrible Herbert had an eye to eye talk about this last night. He conceded that since I am Momma, and feed him, and keep him warm, Dr Harry talks rubbish. He then dived under the bedclothes & slept on my feet, making Boxer-like farts for the remainder of the night. As you can imagine, it was pretty bad, given he is a Vizsla.
  3. How lovely! Wishing you all the best for a happy future.
  4. Still need to be careful with dissolving stitches 'there'. Whilst it's a standard method, you would may be need to be aware that in the eagerness of 'play, Ronin might be bowled over & have a large paw in that tender area.

  11. We got her when she was 9 weeks so I highly doubt it and as a pup she was quite fond of several elderly people who asked to pat her. In fact for the first 3 weeks we had Didi my elderly grandparents were staying with us and she loved them and had only good experiences with them, even my grandpa who has dementia so slightly erratic she was very fond of. I have thought perhaps her issue with elderly people is they tend to stare kind of vacantly and move very slowly/awkwardly. I have also noticed she will pretty much always ignore women who ask to pat her but falls in love with most men who do. Sorry, I think I confused myself.
  12. You mentioned 3 older people caused Didi to react. Did she ever have hassles with them before you adopted her?
  13. Yay for Mac! Living the very good life as all young handsome 15 year old Westies deserve. He looks so young in his photo with Alex :D What a wonderful chap he is!
  14. Holy cr*p. A local on the beach in the dingoes' habitat in the dark late at night? Not the place to be.
  15. Humans use such products when they have swallowing issues.
  16. LOL, my brother does that quite often. I had to get a new container for his freezer and stuck a Skull & Bones sticker on it. Told him to make sure he put dog food in it.
  17. Slightly off topic.... Years ago, mt flat mates had a friend who always always arrived at meal times. ( To bludge food). I got truly annoyed one night when he turned up as usual. I did not feel like feeding him. Knowing he was always hungry, I offered him jaffles. He accepted most keenly. Went to the kitchen, opened a can of Pal, flavoured it with curry powder, Worcestershire Sauce & assorted seasonings. Even the dogs left the kitchen. Made a couple of jaffles with the stuff and served same. To give him some credit, he did both. I had left for work. Had no reason to see any reaction, after all. He got sick that night. Phoned to ask if anything was wrong with the 'filling'.... Yeah, I said, I served you dog food. He never ever came for a meal again.
  18. I am having such a delightful mental picture of you calling out 'Shitty Whippet come back' as she charges off.... soz, I need the giggle. Sheena has had great success with her Houdini Boy dog. :)

  23. aw! Bless! Just the tonic to read, bianca.a! It's a tribute to your TLC that Cooper is flourishing. Yay!!!!
  24. Not myself personally. But friends in the North Island use the human grade of Rose Hip powder for the gundogs. The difference is the human is a finer powder. Same benefits. Good Luck with this for your dog. Most owners I know who use it ( and in different countries) has found it benefical. :D
