  1. Oh such a smile!!! What a gem of a boy. Stari, Drake will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge. Love & Hugs
  2. Good, if not great move, to be seeing Karen. All the very best with the consultation.
  3. And for interim wear, HomeArt has specials at the moment on 'jumpers'. The ones I saw in NSW were a mere $5 per jumper. OK, they are likely acyrillic but may help someone. My link :D
  4. Was a new user here into that weirdness. Sent me pm asking sick questions He got reported
  5. Seems people leave their brains behind if they attend dog parks
  6. Better than your avatar!!! Great photo of a gorgeous pair.
  7. I carry treats all the time. However, I only ever share a treat with the express OK of a dog's owner. I can not risk giving a strange dog a single thing that it might be unable to eat. I decline my dogs getting treats if as too often they are the coloured poo smackos
  8. This was the sentiment I was trying to get across. Nothing to do with the staffy, just a moronic action by the owner that could have fatal consequences. Yonjuro, Thank Dog, both of you got out of the situation caused by total idiocy. From what I am seeing of 'Dog Parks', thei name should be changed to Dumb Park. Humans let the side down badly. Losing confidence in being at one if another dog/human arrives. Not had issues as yet. And intend to keep it that way. :)
  9. Background: Male intact puppy 10 months old. Owner needs re-doing of earlier leg surgery. Family not in this state. Recommendations for in-house training for say up to 15 days in Greater Sydney.
  10. Indeed. Nine questions, good options. Done with pleasure.
  11. If you were not doing everything well enough, you would be talking differently. Your questions would be why does my puppy bark all the time, scratch the door and why is my puppy not happy. But you have told me ( and the others) about the hard work you are doing to make sure Puppy is fine. For his age, he is doing the normal, good puppy things you want him to do. That is great for you, and for his future. Some people just buy a puppy & think it can live outside or be ignored. You are asking for what to do to make life great for him. That is a caring, loving parent. Keep asking to learn, and to have even more fun.
  12. I think both you and the new puppy are going to be very happy. You are making such a good effort to do everything OK. Been great to read the the thread. Good Luck.
  13. My breeder no longer keeps puppies until 12 weeks unless they are being exported. But she knows the families inside out. Not sure many othr breeders retain them that long anymore. :)
  14. Such beautiful words to honour your beautiful Heart Dog. I am sure Gypsy will have meet my Heart boy at the Bridge.
  15. In about 50% of these procedures the first is often enough to get the hip back in place. The dog is under an anesthetic and the ball of the hip is 'popped' back into the socket. Sometimes, the hip comes out again. Further action is needed for a long term result. Maybe they are doing a Toggle pin. Procedure has a high success rate. A big plus is that your dog has not been left undiagnosed with the dislocation . Sometimes this happens. Paws crossed for you both.
  16. Yep. In NSW, the breeder must sign a form to agree to the change. Allowed to be done up to 3 years of age.
  17. This is a top thread. Have a bit of grit in my eyes now. Seems to me our dogs do so much for us. Thank you, silentchild for the idea. Hugs to you xxxx
  18. http://www.hornsby.nsw.gov.au/property/pets/dogs-your-responsibilities According to the site, the dog must be under the effective control of a competent person. Given your description of the incident, I perceive a fail ( and bluidy major). Grrrr.
  19. They are an awesome breed. I lived with two in the USA. Not sure if you can imagine but Dogues & Vizslas are a hilarious mix. Well done for undertaking all the research, and maintaining a most respectful attitude. I, for one, can not wait for puppy photos. :D
  20. If you have a change, read over this site http://www.dogueclub.com/judges-training.asp My other info applies to USA Dogues.
  21. Retrieved from notes. http://pets.webmd.com/dogs/dog-malocclusions :)
  22. May take up to a year depending on the breed for correction, if at all. Few breeders will run such puppies on. Just for fun is not what breeders do.
