  1. Thank you, I will get the Boss onto these Recipes. :)
  2. Hello Steph M, it is not about licking your dog but a Kiss you give them and a lick on the cheek in return. :)
  3. Do your dogs value Licks or Kisses ? We give them to our hounds but to get one in return goes from begging or pleading for one to total exposure to the tongue and dog kisses. Digger will give a lick begrudgingly, :) Honey will give one once she is in the mood which seems to align with a Blue moon, :) Lucky however gives them all the time and it feels so comforting when mid walk and he comes back and you bend down and he gives a kiss, give him praise, thank you and a rub on the back and he trots off so happy with himself. :) :) :)
  4. Thank you for photos, they looked beautiful. :) Loved the Fred Basset lookalikes. He is so proud !!! :) :) :)
  5. Dinner is the main meal with meat and bickies. Soaked as one vomits hers up if dry. Breckie. is chicken carcass, egg and bickies. , or sardines and bickies. on a three day rotation. Breakfast is more a snack than a meal. :)
  6. Back, just above the tail and hind legs is the golden spot. Chest is the silver spot. :) With one hand thumb and index finger gentle massaging right above front legs on back is the bronze spot. :) Check out the grin on your dogs after applying bronze massage :) :) :)
  7. Yes. Take them to toilet approx. 10pm and good to approx. 6 am. Nowdays, especially in winter I think they would stay until 10 am. But as soon as OH or I get up to go to the toilet, they all get up. We think it is because they go to toilet but more important to them they get breakfast and back to bed until their morning walk. :) :)
  8. Our two 10 year olds have no insurance, but one cost us upwards of 15 grand for two rear leg cruciate. So when we got Lucky-Dog ( 3.5 years ) he had insurance straight away. " She who must be obeyed " did the research and chose RSPCA, her final words are they are there for the animals and money goes to a good source. I don't argue with her !!! :) :) Anyway they have come good on approx. 80 % of all claims. It has been money well spent. :)
  9. Our 3 have never escaped, why would they ???? " She who must be obeyed " is forever finding dogs that do. It is if she is a dog magnet. :)
  10. Our 10 year Cattle X Lab ruptured both rear cruciates approx. 4.5 years ago within a week of each leg. Think it was the right first and then the left. Anyway he has two titanium plates, one in each rear leg. We think his two legs have cost us a bathroom renovation for each. :) He recovered quite well, it slowed him down a lot but he has a quality life one that could not be guaranteed without the $$$ spent. Well worth it. :)
  11. Panoramis fan here, flea prevention. Check with Vet as we give worm tablets every 3 months for ours.
  12. Our hounds get pet mince from our butcher. They are a wholesaler so we buy in bulk and freeze portions to suit. For dinner it goes directly from fridge to bowl, heat the kettle and pour on boiling water. Add biscuits and soak for approx 15 - 20 minutes which averages out to one icy cold beer. :) Our 10 year old Ridgy inhales food and when served dinner without water, she vomits everything back up and eats. Apart from being messy, in is quite upsetting to watch every dinner time so the soaking of bikkies has cured her of this. :) In the morning they have either a chicken carcass each, or a small amount of bikkies with egg or sardines and there is never a problem with these meals. :)
  13. We converted to Panoramis a fair while ago now. Although we never had a problem with fleas, it means we don't have to worry about them at all. We only have to give worm tablets every 3 months. :)
  14. Yearly vaccinations here. Vet sends out reminder notice and our 3 go together for vacs. and yearly checkup all together. :)
  15. In our house " she who must be obeyed " uses tablet / capsule inside meat, cheese or chicken whatever is available. I have a foolproof method of shoving down their throat. They don't complain and get dinner or breakfast straight away to compensate. This is never a struggle as they get rewarded with a feed after woods.
