Wow!!! your puppy is gorgeoua CollieChaos!!! You must be so excited!

The last few days really does seem like forever! I admit I've always had a soft spot for merleslove.gif . I think they're one of the most beautiful colours on a dog.

Yep I am totally overloaded with info and you are right there are definitely some contradictions out there! Just going to try my best I suppose.

That's pretty much exactly my situation - I'm pretty sure 11 weeks will be fine, there is not much else I can do except socialising him with other things like people etc and starting some basic training myself. :o

Hope this day flies by for you! Make sure to post some pics. :D

I posted in the BC thread re missing Remy's photo. Just saw the one you posted here & he's absolutely gorgeous.

I didn't get Tilba til she was 11w/5days old & started puppy pre-school 5 days later. She was on the breeders short list to be kept for show. She had gone overseas to Crufts & couldn't make the final decision until she got back. I feel I got the better looking dog but the other one was sold off as well.

There's lots you can do in the mean time like carrying her to lots of places & visiting friends with puppy friendly dogs. Two good websites are http://www.dogstardaily.com/free-downloads

Also look at the menu bar for other topics.

There are many tutorials here from Kikopup on all manner of training tips.

Thanks luvsdogs!

Really appreciate the info you've given me. I will post the original photo here later on - just out of respect to the breeder I took it down on that thread.

I have downloaded the free e-books, they have been a great help!

Thanks again :D

Visit went great Jules! Puppies are gorgeous and I was blown away but the faultless temperaments of the mum and dad. If our boy grows to be half as handsome as his dad I will be very happy.

Our breeder thinks she knows which one will come to us which was lovely, I didnt expect that at this stage. He is so gorgeous and squishable ❤. I can't wait to bring our little man home.

Its wonderful when you go to a breeders place and are able to see what their dogs temperaments are like. Im glad we were able too as well ;)

Sounds like the breeder knows now which one is the most suitable for you . Ours wasn't over cuddly with us (all the others ones were) but ours is very independent and was just wanting to show off instead lol Im still very happy we are getting her tho !:)

So how much longer before he comes to live with you??

Yes it is wonderful. Particularly in my breed as they can tend to be wary of strangers if not socialised well. As a breed they can be reserved but my breeders dogs forgot to read that book! Mamma was pushing her way past her puppies to get tummy rubs from my children, just lovely.

Our little man comes home on Feb 16th. 26 days to go!!!

I like that, little miss independent Miah :-). Too cute! When does she come home Jules?

Thats so sweet to hear they were being so friendly, a great sign then! :)

Well they turn 8 weeks tomorrow, so hopefully in another 2 weeks time ! The breeder hasn't set a date yet, but thats ok, when she's ready to bring Miah will be fine with us. Starting to get some things organised now for her arrival !

So early Feb at this stage. My husband has asked for a week and half off then (from his work) and i am taking a month of my voluntary work (which is only Mondays mornings anyway) .

But yeah the time is coming up quickly now ! :)

Our breeder said we can go visit again, but its just for us its too far to go easily.. and with only 2 weeks to go, I guess that time is going fly quickly now, hopefully!

Hope you get to have more cuddles this weekend Remy ! x

RemyBC, Hi, I also posted on the BC forum as I missed out on seeing your new little addition. Totally understand why you removed

the pic but am hoping you don't let any negativity get in the way of you enjoying every minute you can with you beautiful BC & also

enjoying this forum as it is a wealth of info as well as a great place to speak with like minded BC/dog lovers.

Personally I couldn't care less what colour your Border is, pink with purple dots  as long as she has had all her relevant tests

& I am sure she. As long as they are healthy, then it's all good. Good on you for doing lots of research

When I got my girl Stella she was 12 weeks old & when I got my boy Sonny he had just turned 10 weeks if you are concerned about Remi's age.

You need not worry cause a rep. breeder won't let you take a puppy home till they are at least 8 weeks or older :)

Enjoy your Border Collie. They are an awesome breed & I am very bias :p & :welcome: Give her a cuddle for me, OK :)

If I can be of any help, just pm me & if I can't help you I may know of someone that can :)
