I have had my Dane x puppy for 3 weeks now and just wanted a place to shamelessly show off how beautiful she is as I'm getting the feeling my friends are beginning to get sick of all of the puppy pictures! I also want something to document her growing and changing as she has already put on 5 kilos since we got her!! Her name is Didi and she is currently 13 weeks old ^.^

Here she is at 8 weeks old

Is Didi crossed with a lab or a Stafford? I can see both in her cute face! I love black dogs!

I think it is a great idea to document her life. They grow so quickly.

We all thought she was Lab x Staffy cross until we got the DNA results....

Her Mum is a Lab, Dogues De Bordeaux, Dachshund, Irish terrier mix but had the body of a Lab with a brindle coat and Dad was Great Dane with a small amount of Boxer.

Judging on her and her litter mates though Great Dane is definitely the main contributor with Lab and Dogues and the Boxer making an appearance... at 13 weeks she is already the size of two dachshunds so don't know where they come into the mix!

it's a scary rate of growth isn't it, 5 kgs in 3 weeks! She is very cute and this is the place to bombard us with puppy pictures, you wont get any complaints, unless it's to ask for more photos, so post away! post away! keep 'em coming!

Beautiful!

Agree with Krislin, multiple photos are a must!

Looking forward to watching her grow up; she sure is a stunner. :)

She is very cute and going to be very big :)

For what it is worth, take the DNA results with a grain of salt. They are not known to be accurate. The combination of breeds listed for her Mum - I don't think any of them even come in brindle so that would mean there has to at least be something else. Someone will correct me if I am wrong though :) And Irish terriers are not exactly a common breed so I find it hard to imagine 1 of those in her background.

Yeah I am definitely not too sold on the DNA results as they also claimed Bedlington Terrier was in the mix and that's even more uncommon than Irish Terrier. I think I'll just stick with Great Dane cross for now

Thanks for all the kind words guys :) and since you asked here are some more....

It's been really hot the last few days so I've just been sitting inside and bugging her as I try to remember how my camera works so excuse the still questionable photography...

She looks so dopey here

That's good, some people get quite stuck on "but the test says". And ignore my brindle comment - on my phone she looked brindle. On my computer she does not :)

My beautiful baby is now 15 weeks and nearly 16kg! She's getting so big!!

Also ignore the weird wire all over the side of the house... one day I couldn't find her and she'd dug her way under the house so we had to dismantle our old rat cage and nail it into the wall....

Having only ever had "toy" breeds, the idea of a 16kg puppy is hard to imagine   . She is a knockout and you are in for years of wonderful times with your beautiful big girl.

Thanks! Yeah she is about to cross the line of being too heavy to pick up :( I went to pick my friends Kelpie puppy who is also 15 weeks up the other day and almost lifted her above my head because I'm so used to anticipating a heavy puppy
