Very sorry for your loss & you are right it is no way for any dog to pass. No groomer in there right mind leaves a dog on a grooming arm with a choker & above all unattended. I don't use grooming arms & have plenty of friends that do BUT we all now that there a tool that should be used when in attendance only & these are dogs that are trained to stay on tables . To leave the dog unattended on a grooming arm is poor form but to leave it unattended on a table full stop is very poor . Dogs can fall off when not trained for table work & especially older dogs that can be more unstable . What to do is up to you ,you can't get your dog back & i am sure (well i hope ) these people have learnt a BIG lesson . The problem you have is many of the grooming schools & associations recommend grooming arms to be used for safety ,at Grooming comps they are compulsory . The problem is when not used correctly things can go wrong very quickly . http://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/agriculture/livestock/animal-welfare/codes/aw-code-8#4--Grooming-and-bathing-facilities. If the salon is a PIAA member you can certainly complain through them aswell. I would get a report from the vet sooner than latter though .

i do now there are people that do go in & do what your asked. They are show people but not sure who they are . Have you asked Eastern Creek for details of any groomers ?? There is a company that you can pay to go walk, run, play & groom not sure on there grooming credentials though http://dogwalks.com.au/meet-the-team/

The slicker will still be useful if the dog isn't brushed often(which is the key) The slicker can be used on the pants & varying areas to fluff out even though its only the top & can be used to fluff out in sections but a good under coat rake is what we use in the salon on like minded breeds often matted . The best slicker is one you can brush your own arm with & not hurt . Doggyman/Lawrence ever gentle & a good pet store will sell some brands that are also mild or a cat one is good .

Local vets can't do it a vet recognized by AQUIS is the only one who can . As far as im aware you need the rabies only providing not returning I think the Approved vet also has to treat for tapeworm I don't hold much faith in dogtainers Perth of late , If you want good sound advice ask other shippers or email Dogtainers Melbourne who will give you the correct info . Generally though most shippers quotes cover all the vet work aswell unless you wish to do it but make sure its done correctly

Adopting A Dog On A 'long Term Home Stay'
Dogsfevr replied to kiwioz's topic in General Dog Discussion
Someone with one of our dogs did this & the owners never returned & never paid a dime ,dog had issues & was a disaster . From a boarding kennel aspect we would expect payment monthly or a certain percentage upfront lets just say from many kennels point of view these situations often end up with a no owner return & no payment after a certain point & the owners are impossible to trace . If you do it then be prepared that it may not work as planned & you end up with the dog & the expense & even nice people let you down . If you do then you also need to address, vaccs, worming, any health issues/meds,microchip info & changing details . -
Our vet has the naughty room for such idiots . They can all sit in there together

I personally wouldn't show a neuter as it affects my breeds coat & the coat is an important part of the breed standard,if i was to show a neuter it would have to be the same quality as i would show in the normal ring. I don't have an issue with the class but i don't get concerned when it often gets refferred to as a pet class for owners to get started . Neuter showed be no different to the main ring. The dogs compete against the same breed standard & the judge signs the neurer CC just like the main ring. Lately more quality dogs have certainly been shown but when it started it was more like a veterans parade for dogs that really should have been left at home . I am a big believer in no awarding which ever the ring may be & poor examples shouldn't be in either ring but i don't think the neuter class should be a considered a learners class to the main ring . If people don't want their rehomed, retired show dogs shown in neuter because they don't think they are good enough then get them changed to the limited register :) The breeder would have to sign it over to the other register anyway so without the breeder allowing it to be shown it wouldn't happen anyway & if a breeder has retired it then one would be asking why,if it wasn't good enough for the main ring why should it be shown as a neuter ??? When our guys are retired they are done so because there time has come & retirement is the best thing for them & if we do rehome then we wouldn't allow a new person to show a dog that we ourselves don't think is worthy enough ,if we won't show it why should someone else

We board a number of them ,the quietest breed around to board infact i haven't heard any of them bark. They area Spitz so can have any of the Spitz traits ,they ones we board are very social, very easy going & they live with young children to retirees so very adaptable. They have a very long life span as well

Given how dangerous cat bites can be it would have been reported along time ago , As for harassing by kids well that doesn't excuse its behavior whether it be dog or cat the same rules should apply. Cat people get away with all sorts of things & think they have very right too.

The ones here will from the backyard BUT if the backyard is a jungle then i do now many will refuse. -
A month is considered short term with most kennels certainly for us,Providing the kennel allows plenty of outside exercise & human time it should adapt well & is weather friendly

Like others have said its all about management & then its all about what you plan to keep puppy wise. I would say as far as the breeding side goes picking a bitch that is very strong in Dalmatian features because looking at the LUA on video you can see the pointer trait there so you may find your first litter to be a mixed bunch with some aspects you don't want & then look at a stronger second generation .
