Hi Chloe, where abouts in Vic are you? Feel free to PM if you’d rather. -

I have heard good things about Snooza (particularly the D1000), Henry Hottie, and Orvis beds, but I cannot comment on the dog fur issue as I haven’t used any of them. Others here have though and I’m sure they’ll chime in.

If this wasn’t a dog you bred or a rescue, what does the breeder feed their dogs? That may give an indication as to what may be best for your dog. -
Welcome to the forum! Are you asking about Australia or an overseas country? In Australia, dogs are registered rather than their owners. Each dog must be registered separately, and prices may differ between states and according to other factors e.g. whether or not the dog is desexed. For example, here’s the prices for NSW: https://www.olg.nsw.gov.au/content/registration-fees ETA I also note Gillybob’s comments of which I was unaware!

Have you only tried Canidae and MFM? A number of brands offer samples (check websites) or provide refunds if it doesn’t work out. -

I signed up to Dr Chris Zink’s newsletter (website is For Active Dogs). The March newsletter which I received today has a summary of ‘recommended supplements for active dogs (and their evidence)’. Unfortunately can’t link to it as there’s no online version, but if you sign up (it’s free) I imagine you’ll receive it. -
Regardless of what you do with the grass, you may like to give him a dedicated area where he can dig to his heart’s content. Encourage him to use it by burying amazing things in there.

How exciting! Two puppies at once? Be sure you give each puppy one-on-one training, socialisation, walks, play and alone time to help prevent codependency problems. Good luck! https://www.whole-dog-journal.com/issues/13_1/features/Problems-Adopting-Two-Puppies-At-Once_16190-1.html

Hmmm. I’m still looking for steps. Maybe these would work! It would stop 20cm short of our bed but beggars can’t be choosers I suppose. Ha, I just added it to a cart to check postage etc out and they want to throw in a free back scratcher. What if I don’t want more plastic junk in my life!? Also I note they are a direct marketing company... not into that but I see you can opt out afterwards.

There are a number of specialist veterinary hospitals in QLD, thought perhaps not in FNQ (have not checked). May I suggest finding a dermatologist and asking your vet whether they can do a vet-vet phone consult - this is common in areas where specialists aren’t available. Even in Sydney my vets have called up specialists for advice with preliminary work then referred on for anything they couldn’t do. Alternatively you may find a vet in your area who has a special interest in dermatology (had undertaken further education in the field, but not a derm).

Getting papers for adopted dog

The two dogs would need to have mains papers too, right, in order for offspring to be recognised by ANKC? They may have been put on the limited register? -

Their website lists a lot of studies. It would be interesting to see what the studies say and if they are well-designed and peer reviewed. -
Best to get help from a vet I think, including with any dietary changes, as otherwise you may not know the true cause. You could unnecessarily restrict her diet or cause it to become unbalanced.

My Chi x had super long quicks. I used the alternate cut line and now his nails are off the floor provided I attend to them weekly. Skip a week though and it’s business as usual... Señor Chi nails grow like they’re on steroids. I assume you’ve seen this? http://susangarrettdogagility.com/2013/08/cutting-your-dogs-nails-how-important-is-it-really/

Water Additive for Tartar control
Papillon Kisses replied to PANDI-GIRL's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
You can buy it online from a few places, but I get it from a local vet as their prices are pretty good when you factor in postage costs. -
Does that happen with grass seeds?
