  1. What is TNS? It was in reference to a sick border collie puppy.
  2. I didn't realise greyhounds need these tests. Is displasia in the breed? I've never heard that before
  3. Oh! I'm most confused of all! I thought he was greyhound #3
  4. He kinda looks like he might be saying, "what time's dinner served here?" you realise if you kept him you'd have the 3 shades then.
  5. Jack Russells are very funny to watch race. I saw some years ago at Healesville and as soon as they jumped from the boxes they all started brawling!
  6. Sandy was very cute, and her tough guy dad was pretty proud of her.
  7. Wow! Dogs of Phwoar is getting more likes :D thanks everyone!!!!
  8. I went again last Sunday. I've put the photos on "Dogs of Phwoar" I have to admit, the colour's off on a few I'll get around to fixing it at some stage but right now my eyes are too fuzzy. You still get the idea. They look good when viewed full screen.
  9. yep, I've bought from DWI too, no problems. I am tempted by that little lens.
  10. I wondered about that. Now, if someone else in Victoria wanted to buy the same lens, I wonder if 2 of us got together and bought it from eglobal so saved on postage. It would need to be 2 people who see each other occasionally. Meagan, are you reading this?
  11. Damn you tlc !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how much was it all up, including postage? It's supposed to be a good street photography lens cause it's discreet.
  12. aaahhhh now this is the life!!! he thinks to himself. :)
  13. you should've gone and asked. He'd probably love the opportunity to talk about it.
  14. I'm thinking either a bite or a nightmare. I knew a dog that sort of sleep walked, well, he sleep sat. I was looking after him for some friends and he'd gone to sleep in my lap. All of a sudden he sat up slowly and started waving his head around. I was startled and said his name several times but he seemed unaware of me. I finally roused him and he was fine, just curled up and went back to sleep. I told his owners and they said he does it all the time. I've heard dogs bark, growl and whimper as well as wag their tails and move their legs, but I never knew until then that dogs could be so animated in their sleep. I'm wondering if your boy just had a terrible dream. I recall seeing a video on youtube of a dog having a dream and running into a wall, people seemed to think it was funny, I didn't, the dog seemed very confused.
  15. great idea for a thread, I cant join in this one because I am the last remaining person on Earth who doesn't have a mobile phone
  16. geeze that's alot of big powerful dogs together in one place, and to not know them all well.............ugh. It's a pity she was even allowed to have them all in that situation. Very sad, she was doing her best to help dogs in need. Poor woman. Sometimes I have up to 9 dogs here, not all mine but they all know each other well, even so, my friend and I watch their body language and monitor the interactions carefully, especially when some get frisky and want to play, you need to watch the players but also the quieter ones carefully for their reactions. And I'm only talking about whippets and iggies!
  17. Mine have done this too, and while I dont normally allow cooked bones the ones they've stolen like that have passed through without problems. Hoping for some healthy non scratchy poos this morning for her.
  18. My whippets have no body fat but all are good swimmers. Some love it more than others, Feather can swim but doesn't like it at all. Puck is the fastest swimmer I've ever seen.
  19. very cute, that seemed like quite a long course, do you know how far they actually run?
  20. You would imagine it's a natural instinct to paddle but it's not always. Yes, dogs can definitely drown.
  21. I cant remember exactly but it was earlier than the last week. They are very fast. About 3 days before whelping was due, I picked up that a heartbeat was slowing down, and told the reproductive vet. She just looked at me as if to say "what would you know" It got slower and slower, my bitch became very ill, that puppy was pulled out dead and another died the next day. If you hear anything like that insist that the vet take notice. It was my first litter and I doubted my instincts and put my trust in the vet. Big mistake. On the happy side I found it incredibly exciting to hear all those little hearts thumping away. I'd move the stethascope and find another, and then another, I never managed to work out how many she was going to have by listening, I just knew it was quite a few, she ended up having 9 in total.
  22. It's fun isn't it, just to see your dog so happy and excited makes it a great day for you too, that's what I reckon anyway, if the dogs have fun, so do I.
  23. I haven't got a card reader either, I feel like I've read somewhere that if you take your camera to them, some camera shops will do the upgrade for you, but maybe I dreamt it.
