  1. I've just had a look at others he's following, there's alot of DOLers on his list. It's sus to me.
  2. I've got this "person" following me on redbubble. I looked at their profile and the photos they've posted and it seems very odd to me. Why would you post the photos he/she/it has on redbubble. I'm a bit confused and wondering what they are using redbubble for. These are the tags on their photos " seonext, seo next reviews, seonext review, seonext reviews, seonext scam, seo next complaints, seo next bad reviews " http://www.redbubble.com/people/seonextreviews
  3. that's such a cute photo, just hangin' with the silkies. :D
  4. My Canon program allows me to do it but when I do layers like those in the thread it would erase parts of one to overlay the next one on it.
  5. I've done a few whippet running sequences, but I dont have the program to do them like these! Wish I did. http://photoity.com/20-fascinating-examples-of-sequence-photography/
  6. I can just imagine.... "and dont come back!!"
  7. Do they have a "naughty corner" for crocodiles?
  8. Same here they had 300 square metres with trees & a hen house 3 foot off the ground with a ladder up to it. Whole thing was a disaster. The chickens were happy, had unclipped wings so they could fly in case of need & the 2 gold spangled hamburgs slept in a tree. Got them at point of lay, expensive, & I could never get near them. The 2 Isa Browns I got that a man used to get from the chicken farm when they got rid of them both died after about 8 months, old age I think. Got 2 more. They were so friendly. One got a cancer/growth on its eye & another got fly blown. Despite my constant treatment it didn't last long, obviously I didn't catch it quickly enough or something. Cried my eyes out when they died, felt a hopeless owner so caught the Hamburgs & gave them to friends. Sometimes its easier to go to the shop & buy free range. Was for me. In all honesty it wouldn't give me much joy as an owner to see them in the small coup. They are so happy wandering & digging even though the mess they make is unbelievable. Yep, they do make a mess, and when I had 5 in my yard even that wasn't enough room for them really. They decimated my native frog and lizard population. Now I only have one chook who free ranges and she still finds the yard isn't enough for her, even though I supplement her diet with bought chook food as well. She still gets out somehow, I've never seen where she escapes from but sometimes disappears for the day and I worry a fox will get her, or a neighbour just keep her, but so far she returns home, probably after stashing her egg in someone else's garden.
  9. This is a wild animal though, I doubt he cares whether he ears meat or human hand... a human hand IS meat. I would think that reptilian brain just views anything with a heartbeat as potential food.
  10. Yep I've found the other breeds although slower than my whippets have more stamina if they're fit and can wear a whippet down. That's how they'll catch them, when the whippet's had enough and wants to stop. It's a bit like the tortoise and the hare.
  11. that's pretty good. Is that enclosure portable, perhaps you can park it over weeds for a few days so they can have a fresh scratch around and then move it to a new area. If they cannot forage and you have to provide everything, dont forget they love snails (not too big) and worms and any other bug they can catch. I've still got my chook Blondie too. Some people said my Italian Greyhound would kill her but it's not going to happen. Neko has a healthy respect for her now.
  12. What breed is Zeus? Zeus is a Beagle x Jack Russell but he's built like a Kelpie and if I didn't know better I'd say he has Kelpie in him. Keep in mind that I've only ever seen Zeus race 2 whippets and 1 greyhound and they were quite amazing 'races ' to watch. I don't bother bragging because 3 dogs out of the vast number of Greys and Whippets is nothing spectacular. no offence to Zeus but if he was faster than the whippets and greyhound, either they weren't trying to run fast, or they were very slow examples of the breed. I have on occasion seen bigger dogs run my boys (whippets) down but it was more because the boys were frightened and instead of them running flat out to escape they slowed down, silly duffers.
  13. When I was looking for a whippet puppy I contacted quite a few breeders to ask if I could look at their dogs. I made it clear I was wanting to get an idea of the type I liked. Some breeders were fantastic, extremely helpful and welcoming, others were really rude and one in particular, to this day gives me dirty looks when he sees me because I didn't buy a puppy off him. It was 15 years ago that I was looking, the puppy I got was Penny who is now a very old girl so some breeders certainly hold a grudge. I think you could get mixed reactions as I did but it's your right to do your research and buy the puppy YOU like. As a breeder myself (only 2 litters) I was happy for people to come and look at my puppies. I didn't mind if they didn't buy one, actually I was glad that they were interested enough to make sure they found the puppy they wanted. One lady in particular comes to mind. She came out here and spent a couple of hours sitting out on the grass playing with the puppies. She went away to think about it and ended up not buying one of mine. The puppy she got in the end was a completely different type to my pups, he was jet black and from a racing line, so I think she did the right thing. She comes to our racing club now and I'm certainly on friendly terms with her.
  14. Scratch Italian Greyhound then.
  15. when I was a kid our family had a pedigree Peke. I haven't seen them as a breed for years now, but since starting to show Neko in the toy group, I've seen a few. I was shocked at the change in them. Incredibly thick coats, very short legs, really just feet attached to the body. The handler had to walk them around really slowly, they cannot even trot out, just a slow waddling great ball of fluffy fur with mouth open gasping for breath. Our little girl had much less hair, more like the thickness of a border collie I think from memory. She had a pretty snub face and would snuffle and snort, and had enough problems, but 50 years on it's so much more extreme.
  16. I hope your shoulder heals fully, it must have been nasty. Did your insurance company ask if you sell your photos? Some class it as professional then and you might not be covered, even though they'll happily take your money.
  17. what a good girl she is, that wouldn't happen here.
  18. I think the 2 injections, the first one being a relaxant, is fairly recent. I had my Kibah whippet put down in February and that was the first time I'd seen the vet give a relaxant first. He came to my home and I have to say, it was the most peaceful farewell I've ever had to go through. She just quietly and gently stopped living, I didn't see a clear transition from life to death. I wouldn't recommend having the other dogs at the vets. If you can get your vet to do it at home, still keep them out of the room, you dont want them getting in the vets way or being scratched by the needle. Once he's gone you can let your dogs sniff him. It's a hard thing to have to go through and you need to be very brave for your boy so he's not frightened by your distress. Cry all you want once he's gone though but not before.
  19. Not dogs but I often find people exaggerate the height of their horses too.
