I always think after 7pm in the evenings, and not sunday at all is off limits, but my clients text me regularly at all hours because i work from home they assume they can. :laugh:

After sending a few emails and getting no response , i thought i might try ringing breeders, but should i limit it to office hours? Or do they prefer weekends? I remember last time i was lookig i hit a brick wall trying to get replies, but with emails you can explain stuff that they can read at their leisure, i always worry when ringing they maybe too busy to talk. I now i was peed off a client texted me at 8.30am today asking if i could do their hair on Australia day, so i dont want to get offside by calling when its not deemed appropriate.

You need to stand up for yourself! You have enough on your plate with working full time and all the little ones in need you care for. This lady is taking the piss! I would tell her you only agreed to emergency care and that it is her responsibility to find care for the dog if she chooses to go away. If she cant mange it ask if she would rather give the dog back? Or you could say yes you will do it, provided it is delivered to your door, at her cost, and she pays you $35 a day , upfront! See what she says to that one. I hate to see you taken advantage of , its not on.

what you are feeding now is not the right balance, as others have said. If you don't want the hassle of making up veggies, try Vets All Natural to mix with the meat.( i also add liver, eggs, sardines, randomly), and feed necks or feet for brekky for bone.

If your breeder is recommending when to do it why wouldn't you trust her to know the breed?

I always thought they were a waste of time, just lots of young dogs charging around in chaos with the bigger pushy dogs scaring the more timid ones. I could never see the benefit. they are normally run by vet nurses , who are not trainers they are vet nurses :laugh:

The roo i feed is petgrade mince, so does that mean it already has bone in it? I'm sure i tried to find turkey necks before and couldn't get them anywhere, will look again. Lots of good ideas , thanks!

I bought frozen lamb necks i think yesterday, they were pretty huge and it took her an hour to eat. i wanted something a bit quicker than that for brekky as she is food aggro and keeping her shut in garage that long is a pita as i need to work in there and walk through. could i just feed a frame a couple of times a week? and not everyday.

I have been feeding my dogs raw for a few years now , roo meat and VANS , liver, ( once a week sardines and eggs too.) Thats the main meal . For brekky they get a couple of chicken feet each. The problem is for the third time Bonn has tried to swallow them whole, been sick , and is now flat again ( been to vets for jab to make her feel better and on zantac). I used to feed necks, wings, but she swallowed them whole too, the vet suggested lamb shanks? Is there a safe way to get bone into her diet, or should i just give up? She has also had several bouts of pancreatis so i need something not fatty.

My BT looks the part, and none wants to come inside when they see her, which cracks me up as she wont even move unless food is involved :laugh: My Cattle on the other hand will bite you. I have never been a dobe fan, the ones i have met are either dog aggro or a bit nutty, i have a Rottie anyday though.

I crush up oxo cubes into hot water and pour it in, otherwise bonn just crunch's the iceblock to get at the treats and leaves the ice everywhere, this way she just keeps licking it.
