  1. Call me cynical Jill, but i think they have done it to save their own skin. It wil look good on their page, nothing more. They are nothing more than a scam, taking money for dogs they don't have, putting dodgy dogs back out there, they need stopping......soon.
  2. what about the koolie pups? they have their own thread somewhere.
  3. Out on my walks i have been bumping into a lady with a young Goldie, about 7 months old. Now this dog is really submissive to other dogs, it spends most of its time on its back or crouched down, when the other dogs move away she bounds up after them, catch's up then drops over again. So last night the owner was asking for my advice about her behaviour at home, so thought i would ask here. :) Apparently she humps the lady, not her oh, only female's, i asked in what situations, and she said just randomly will walk into the kitchen and start humping her leg . She also barks when they are eating their dinner as she wants some, she said she doesn't like her dog food much ( she feeds a premuim food). she said she doesn't give her their food ( well not often she then added). So, can an apparently submissive dog with other dogs be displaying dominant behavoir with female humans? Advice appreciated i can pass on. :)
  4. Is this the reason we have no HP thread anymore?
  5. Why are you a mentor when clearly you need one yourself Lucky this bitch and pups made it at all.
  6. I agree with hitting her about money. Have a look on the TP and Gumtree and see what they are selling for, it might put her off if its not much and they end up with a c section.
  7. Shame his ears are cut off. And now we see why this breed as such good escape artists
  8. So the Spitz is from a family just breeding their dogs every year? So no idea if they are good example's of breed, healthy etc? I do understand where you are comming from, buying from reg breeders is not fool proof either, and you may get a perfectly good byb one. Hard call, go and look at them.

Still thinking of you teebs, how are you going?
  10. I don't think we see enough of the rehabilitation to make an informed view on her improvements. She certainly wasn't afraid of the lady approaching her in the back of the wagon. I was more touched by the poor pit, what a gentle soul she was.
  11. Pounds are not free boarding kennels. Why was she in a rented property that didn't allow dogs? caught out? Saying the cattle would be hard to rehome sounds about right too. People just don't believe the reality when they drop them off, i have watched many stand in the pound being told its pts day and their dog will die, they don't give a shit.
  12. I saw your little dog, very vocal  Mine were the dally and white bully in together and the blue cattle. The inside kennels are different sizes, its in a big shed. Then they taken out into grassy runs with shade cloth, mine go out into 5 acres as they trusted not to escape.
  13. I love the really pale one. Do you think they are x's? as their heads are a little small, or just badly bred, do they have koolie traits or can you see something else in there? Great job, lovely to see them playing.
  14. Hey Stonecutter ,was your little one in there 2weeks ago? There was a little pom when i went to get my 3, you may have seen them all. Pax recommended me too when they were too busy. :) They have inside kennels, heated, and then they can go out into small outside grassy runs in the day, or stay inside, most of the little ones i saw were snuggled up inside. I ask for mine to be left in the big paddock allday as they are used to being outside in the sun. Very accomadating to your needs, will give meds too,( taken mine to vet twice too) and great choice of food.
  15. I use Acacia Lodge at Londonderry for my 3. :)

  18. Denise from "Paws" rescue's pugs, have a look on their website. :)
  19. Double edged sword i thought. Yes they were rescued, but how many would have made it out alive from the RSPCA'S hands? I am sure all the pups sold well, mums would not have been so lucky. Plus great money earner for the RSPCA, i bet lots gave money after last night. I would like to have known how many actually got rehomed. Aweful result allowing them to "own' only 3 dogs, easy to work around that one. They should have been banned from living on a property with any dogs forever. $35,000 doesn't come close when they had that many dogs churning out pups ,lots of the mums were old, so wasn't a new venture, they would have earned alot more over the years than that. Took along time to do anything too, those dogs didn't get into that condition overnight.
  20. Perhaps a few lessons need to be learnt. Never put a new unknown dog in you car( confined area) with your own dog. Especially when they clearly were not comfortable at the first meet. Never feed new dogs near others until you know they are not food aggro. Never leave dogs unsupervised ,especially when they have alrerady had one spat. learn a bit more about body language, Dougal was clearly not happy about Neds presence, but nobody did anything about it.
  21. Has to be said, poor Dougal, not saying anymore
  22. Could you maybe all go out for a walk together, make it a relaxing, nice thing to do? My ex would have our daughter in a backpack and we would go for long sunday walks with the dogs. I used to walk them everyday during the week with her in the backpack, then a buggy, it was really relaxing to get out, if not tricky to get going  , its good for babies to get out in the fresh air too, they sleep well! Perhaps she needs to remember the good fun things about the dogs, rather than just the annoying bits?
  23. Yay for Ned, do we get to see any updating pics? :D

I am so very sorry Teebs, he truly was a DOL legend. Your heart must be breaking, but you did what you could for him. He was so true to his breed, a complete clown, forever in our hearts, thankyou for sharing him with us.
