Anyone Boarded At Doggy Farm Stay Middle Dural?
BC Crazy replied to JoAnnP's topic in General Dog Discussion
OMG !! After reading this horrific post, I'm at a loss for words. This is one of the saddest things I have ever read. Poor little Jack was left "unattended" for an unspecified time AFTER the attack because there was NOBODY there responsible enough to deal with this Why was he let run with Staffies ??? Surely there has got to be some 'duty of care' here. Not even so much as as apology. I feel for you Dingbat & am so sorry for your loss R.I.P. Dear little Jack. Run free boy -
Oh wow ! Avid reader, thanks for the heads up persephone. What a beautiful book. Will web browse where I can but it & what a lovely gift it would make any dog loving person as with you stans mum :)

Exactly stans mum LOL. I am so enjoying this thread too :)
-
Yes thats a very good point Sway.

Gotta love the Grey's stans mum. I adore their eye's. Yours sound just so lovely. My 2 are definitely chalk & cheese too but they get so well together & they both adore my OH & I. My male Sonny is the boss though he is the biggest softy & has a nature to die for.Just loves life. He is practically bomb proof as nothing much phases him & if something does, he goes & checks it out & it's all good. He loves to be clean & smell good, doesn't mind getting his clothes dirty but loves me to groom him straight away so he is all pretty again ASAP. He runs up & puts himself in the dog bath all ready for me  My girl is a real sweetheart & is very affectionate. A real tail wagger in every sense. She smiles at us all the time. She is a very nervy little girl though & reacts to pretty much everything. Loves people but not other dogs. Hates crowds & loud noises, completely shuts down & like your Maddie, hides near Sonny with her head under his tummy when it all gets too much. She is very feisty to though & will get pushy with other dogs if she is allowed. She hates being clean with a passion. Down & dirty is my girl  Doesn't like smelling of anything apart from poo Hates being groomed as well. Isn't it funny how different they can be ? They both have one thing in common, they both love a cuddle all the time  When I go out anywhere the first & last thing I see are these 2 beautiful black & white very faces poking their noses out ( one with a big fluffy pelican in it as Stella is a toy sucker) of the especially made side gate we have for them with a slot cut out of it so they can see out. So darn cute

Thanks Rumour, Oveds is cheaper with JG. Nice to grab a bargin :)
-
Oh yes, that's the one & only bonus with having to do the quick 'pick up' in our backyard due to a premium dry food / barf diet, it doesn't smell bad but not good enough to eat or wear it as my latest perfume
-
Well my girl doesn't bother playing with it chewak, oh no Stella just tucks straight in & the sooner the better. Yuk ! So I have to be very vigilant about picking up after her. So if that's not revolting enough, Sonny's poo is also on the menu as far as Stella is concerned. I spend a lot of my mornings on "poo patrol" & late afternoons for that matter after dinner. Stella is even worse when we are out walking, if it isn't worth eating she will just roll in it She has been like it since the day she arrived home & I have tried everything to deter her to no avail apart from removing it as soon as it lands on the lawn. The things we do

Can You Help Destiny?

I am not a cat person per sa but Destiny is one of the prettiest cat I have seen. Love her coat colouring & so pleased she is recovering well. I think she is very lucky to be rescued by someone who will take wonderful care of her:) -
Oh great, thanks for the heads up ness as I need to order some more for Stella :)

+1 Just beautiful -
Yes I did read that on the container too, derrrr to me :) Kirra sounds like a cheeky girl nipping mum if unclear, thats so funny. Gee she's impressive to be competing at high level at her age. Well done to both of you.
-
10.5 & still competing, that's wonderful Tasssie My girl does crazy things too, all the time. I'm not surprised she has injured the tendons in her foot ATM. The way she spins, twists & turns all while running flat out just makes me cringe watching her I might continue to give Stella JG even after her injury has repaired I was unaware it could be given on a regular basis.

Glad to hear Lucy had a good time a t Agility & went so well with her sit-stay. that really good in an unfamiliar place with as you say her fear of people Wish Frankston was closer megan  I'd love to start Agility one day & it sounds like a nice small venue which is what I'd like. Don't do crowds well. -

That's funny hankdog  I am just picturing Jake going through his little break dancing gig  My boy always throws himself into a spin trick first, then hi 5, then lays down all while being at his very vocal best at the sight of a treat  Where as Stella waits till I ask her to do something as she just hates to get things wrong. She is much easier to teach than Sonny is. He is a bit stubborn & not nearly as driven as her, thank god  Snook, thanks for your kind words & your simple description on how to teach the crawl which I am going to teach my 2 as well. I brought some sticky notes note paper the other day as I also want to teach them 'hide your face'. Stella will rock at this trick I think cause she is always putting her paw in my hand or up in the air already. She very gently tries to touch my mouth too. Does some strange / cute things at times that girl of mine. -

Way to go Destiny -
I love the Natural pet store for their premium dry food & supplements. Great service & prices. Vetnpet & The Vet Shed are really good for most other things. I like Pets 1 for their toys. They sell Tuffie Toys which are my 2 fav's & again excellent service & prices. Most grooming needs I get from Petcetra or Petnet work :)

Tassie, so you give JG to yours everyday? I didn't know you could give it to them as a preventitive.
-
Thats so funny stans mum & really cute too :) Wasn't through the lack of trying. I love Greys, they are just gorgeous.

Hello & welcome, I am sorry I am of no help to you really as I am not staffie savvy. Sounds like you have a lovely dog that something has happened to or it has got some kind fright. Maybe there is some underlying medical problem & he is in pain. It would be a very worrying situation for you & your significant other to be in. Especially when he was once a very happy staffie. I can only sympathise with you & leave all the other more experienced fellow dolers to offer their opinions on what may be going on with your special boy.

I'd like to try Glyde I think. Looks like it full of all the good things. Thanks for the heads up Inevitblue I haven't heard of it before. I find Joint guard really good but we are always looking for something better :)

Thanks Snook, yes I was wrapped with her 9 min effort It's like being on a roller coaster having Stella. She can do some things that simply amaze you. She is a brilliant girl & other times your left thinking where did I go wrong I'm sure a lot of us can relate to that. Anyway I have been practising this little exercise for about a week/10 days & increasing the time by about roughly 30 sec each day. I make sure she is fairly tired first though. It is very similar to what you are doing with Justice. I also stroke her slowly but firmly & also exaggerate my breathing by making it loader & slower. What I loved though is after 2 days of doing this on the 3rd day after we had our games & I thanked them for the game, that's what I say when we are done . Stella just walked slowly up to the exact spot she had her "rest" the previous day & laid down & looked up at me like " well aren't you going to sit down too now" & she automatically chilled. I loved that she freely offered me that behaviour. I sat with her for 9 min's enjoying the view  We watched Sonny busily digging holes in the sand. I guess it is all just conditioning isn't it? I don't know if she knows the word' rest' or not, or is it the order in which we are doing things. But I am definitely going to continue with it. Her 'Leave it' is going really well too. She picked up a magnificent piece of raw, smelly fish at the beach the other day & almost swallowed it before I caught her & asked her to leave it, she coughed it straight up & looked directly at me for a treat instead Justice is very smart Snook, he knows a lot of tricks. How did you get him to crawl ?
