  1. Small acreage on the beach somewhere warm. Very private & securely fenced, nice green grass everywhere for my dogs to romp on. Would probably get another couple of BC's & a mini pony. Smallish modern home / swimming pool, just big enough for OH, myself & 'the kids', 4 legged that is  I'd have someone accredited come & give my guys Agility lessons on my own indoor Agility set up. My idea of heaven.
  2. Way too cute WoofnHoof. Not 1 but 2, double cuteness  Little miss is a stunner I am going to get me one of those someday, you aren't going to have them all O.K.
  3. OMG Bjelkier, your Sammies are to die for, so darn cute :) I have always had a soft spot for them. I'm a sucker for a BIG fuffy coat. Lucky I love grooming :) Our bitey face games are really noisey. Very vocal our 2. We do lots of little breaks too where we pretend we are not paying attention to each other or we will take off for Zoomies . They hit their teeth together which is really loud & I worry they may break them. Its a versitile game that can be played virtually anywhere at anytime, standing up or lying down LOL. It's so funny to watch.
  4. R.I.P Sweet Lady. What a grand old age. Rest easy now girl My condolences to you my lady. Your 'little rock' will always be with you in your memories & your heart
  5. This is exactly as it happens in my house!!! Except my BC's are 6 months and 3 years!! Other than that I would write an identical description! Exactly the same behaviour at our house too !!! Down to the letter. Except my BC's are 4 years & almost 2 years !!
  6. Hilarious & thanks for sharing Stans mum.
  7. Hi Sheena, funny you should say about holding your dog between your legs. I don't know what it is but I also do this with my reactive girl when she looks like she is about to erupt & have found she doesn't seem to get as upset & quietens down far more easily on most occassions. Funny is't it. Maybe it is a security thing. Who knows :)
  8. Just beautiful ! What a lovely story. Shows us never to underestimate the level of a dogs devotion to it's owner. Very heart warming :)
  9. When we were kids we lived on a small farm & my dear dad feed livermol to nearly every farm animal. Horses, dogs, chooks, goats & the ginea pigs they all looked a picture of health from memory :)
  10. Boxer x ? I can see Beagle, Cav & Pug too though, shug. Very cute :)
  11. I understand this thread is about separation anxiety & the op doesn't want nor need to administer medication but I would like to comment on my experience with it for anyone who may be having concerns. I don't believe in using medication as a band-aid measure nor do I believe in it should be used as a first option, a 'quick fix' for a dog with 'issues'. I do think if all other avenues fail & your dog is clearly suffering mentally & emotionally you owe it to them to give it a try. I currently have one of mind on meds as I truly believe she has anxiety issues & coupled with training we are moving forward along the long road to a well behaved, calmer dog. She has improved tonnes in a very sort period of time. She is not living a life full of torment & anguish any more. She is now even capable of lying down occasionally & just resting during the day which is a first. And the medication has in no way 'dulled' her alert disposition. She is still a very switched on girl :)
  12. Sorry to hear about your horrible arvo LMS & I hope poor Riddick recovers well from his ordeal. This type of thing infuriates me The whole attitude of this guy. Trust him not to have his dog desexed, typical. Poor dog There is an entire black Lab down at our leash free & it does the exact same thing. It runs down any other med. size dog he can for an argument. Hope the guy in question get what's coming to him. It sounds about time he is held accountable for his actions. His dog, his responsibility.
  13. Just caught up on this thread & I am so shocked & saddened by what I have just read So sorry for your loss garnali. No one could have done more for him or loved him more than you R.I.P. beautiful little Jake Run free now boy You don't have to fight any more mate.
  14. Oh Des is just lovely. May take a while to settle in at home but I'm sure everyone will sort themselves out & it will be 'all good' for a speedy recovery girl. Sounds like she is going well, all things considered though.
  15. Poor old fella Hope he can find a nice home in this the later stage of his life.
  16. What a great job you are doing louise6616. Your dedication to your I'm guessing 'very big' jogging partner is to be admired. He is a very lucky boy to have you :)
  17. The other funny thing about my bitey face girl Aussie 3 is that she is an overshot girl, so it's like being kissed with someone with buck teeth, all you feel are these little front top teeth as they stick out further than the rest lol. It was our saver when she was little, before she learn't some manners & used to launch herself at your face with excitment :) Lili used to run from wherever she was and launch at our faces too when she was little Same Aussie3, When Stella was younger she could be up the yard somewhere & I could be putting shoes on at the back door & she'd run flat out & launch herself at your face with her mouth open
  18. You save me typing Esky. Thats exactly what crossed my mind, step kids bouncing between parents. And yes if I left OH with our 2 BC's there would be no grooming or training & treats a plenty. Must be a men thing.
  19. OMG ! Thats very serious stuff. Hope you are OK now.
  20. Ouch !! stans mum, I don't have any tattoo's but I'm thinking that would have been extremely painful.

  22. Stella has always been a face bitey girl. Not vicious or anything. It's her way of saying, "hi" I think. So OH & I have had numerous bruised noses & plenty of skin off my face. Lots of facial teeth marks. As she has matured she still does it but not quite so savagely. I also taught her to kiss us gently, no teeth, which has saved our faces LOL.
  23. Wow,what a smart girl you have :) Gotta love stories like that Steve.
