I don't think there are any advantages for free-feeding....you just show the dog they don't have to work for anything and you create a dog that can't eat a meal in a normal sitting so that crates a problem going forward.

We use a Dremel, I find even the Dremel on a Dane is not powerful enough.

Never heard of dropped/sprung toes, can you tell me more? My Dane has horrid feet, I've seen a number of other Danes with them too and just brushed them off as yucky feet.

OMG from Plush Puppy has helped get all sorts of things out of coat for me.

Put a baby gate up, this way you'll cease setting the dog up for faliure. Next get the Behaviourist back.

Has your Breeder been able to give you some insight. The crying, barking, whining etc. is normal because you've taken the puppy away from it's family and put it by itself which it's not used to. You have to ignore the barking etc. because if you give in even just once then you're done for, the dog will just get worse because they know that just one time it worked so it's bound to work another time. Must your dogs be outside dogs or can the puppy start with being crated in your bedroom?

My foster dog has 2 of these and I'm cleaning, drying and putting powder antiseptic on it.

Any reason why you can't go down there with a dish brush and give it a 2 second brush every day when you're picking up poo and so forth?

Even trainers who aren't technically labelled "positive trainers" often know and use clickers to assist in training . Well that's a given.

Sounds like a normal puppy. Can I make a comment that all the stiffing you're seeing could actually be calming signals because you're frustrated and angry. If you're not having any luck training the puppy and you want to do clicker training, contact a positive trainer to help you, you may not actually be doing it correctly. If the puppy has a 20 second attention span then do a 10 second clicker session and build up over time. If you've only had the puppy for a week have you considered the puppy is not clicker conditioned yet, sounds like you get ffrustrated easy and therefore may not have been patient enough to keep going with conditioning until the dog got it - they all take different amounts of time. With new fosters, I usually just clicker condition for a week and then work on attention and then basic obedience.

Is it just me or did the latest gazette show a massive ZERO Neuter classes in Sydney?

Winterpaws, I think what you're experiencing is pretty normal when dogs are used to be inside all the time. We went through a similar patch a while ago with a foster when I was working from home everyday and now we make sure the dogs go outside for 'dog time' at least half an hour if we've been working all day. On the weekends they go outside at least an hour. I think you'll just have to do some seperation training, build the seperation time up and reward and so forth.

they're a good price! I've purchased 4, hope you at least break even.

Barrier is good, I like teaching rear end awareness, my 10 year old Dane picked it up pretty quick via Clicker. -
The 'Receptionists' are actually probably Vet Nurses. Just a correction because Receptionists are people who answer and divert calls.

Another Angel we know... So sorry for your loss.

I wouldn't get both of them unless you can seperate them and make sure they're not together more than they're with you.

We have some mentally disturbed people in Non-Sporting although 98% of the usual crowd either are lovely or keep to themselves.

As do most pet slaughter houses.....where do you think your Vets All Natural meat comes from....a slaughter house.

I use Peter, 0411 353 130, he's a muscle manipulator rather than a cruncher. We've used him for our dogs and rescues and couldn't be happier. Have used other Sydney based Chiro's without success.
