  1. She is going well then? I bet they have a ton of adoption requests for her :)
  2. It's impossible!! Called a tibbie tantrum in this house, very different to a normal tantrum as it's silent but there is no way to win.... Pretty sure Chewy clenches his jaw in defiance as well lol. At training we were doing a 'catch it' trick.....Chewbacca was most offended at me throwing treats at his face and so sat there, not flinching, not even trying to get the treats lying around him, just being stubborn. The trainer was amazed haha!
  3. She does look pure! Does she have a tibbie tail? She is just beautiful, once again Denise comes through and saves a tibbie :) <3
  4. So very sad Such an advocate for building a trustful relationship with your dog. RIP
  5. If I didn't know the dog park you were talking about I may have thought differently, but as I do I have no idea what the man was thinking taking an injured dog in there?! It's really a doggy play area, it's too small for wandering around and not having dogs by you, not sure why he didn't go to the oval where there is a lot more space. My JRT prefers her space so she goes to the oval for an off lead leg stretch/sniff/dog greet if appropriate, whilst Chewy is a social boy so he'll go into the play area (obviously depending on play style going on). I take it case by case, many times we've turned up and both walked the oval with the dogs due to rough playing going on in the fenced area. In other fenced areas you can walk around the edge and avoid, but that park is tinyyyyyy! Were you with Ronin at the school the other evening?
  6. Yep +1 + 2 But that goes for all pet shops. I echo everyone here - it's just not worth the risk, you have no idea what you'll be getting, including temperament issues (separated from mother, good breeding, raised around people or just in a box!?).

  8. Yep! :) Contact these guys, they rehome to lots of older people, they have a 'Seniors to seniors' type program :) https://m.facebook.com/WISHANIMALRESCUETEAM?v=timeline&filter=1&ref=m_notif&notif_t=mention
  9. Like others have said - covered crate, somewhere he can see you. Also you can get warm teddies, some with a 'heartbeat', for him to cuddle up to. If not a warm (not too hot) wheat bag - just be sure to cover it in lots of layers so he can't chew through it.
  10. Belle has the ezydog jacket, but she is the right shape for it (rotund lol). Louis is the most graceful swimmer ever CC!!
  11. Chewbacca has the ruff wear one, it fits him great. He is longer than he is tall, so back end support was important. We went and tried a few different types on though, if possible I'd suggest doing that.
  12. You should have bitten the owner if you wanted to bite someone, rather than traumatise the poodle further. Trust me, that poodle was NOT traumatised when it bit me... it may have been AFTER I bit it back, but it deserved it - nasty thing that it was, biting people for no reason.Bloody thing had drawn blood too... it was a bite, not a nip that it gave me, and I wasn't trying to interact with it at all. T. Dogs don't bite for 'no reason'. I totally agree it was sounds like it was acting appallingly, so tell the owner to secure and remove the dog and/or report it! If a child is misbehaving in public and hits you do you hit it back or talk to the parent? Unbelievable......

  14. Yep, honestly is the best policy :) Let's keep looking!! Has she contacted Pam at Tibbie club of Vic to register interest? They do tibbie rescue and keep a list of people looking. May be worth making contact? Maybe worth letting PAWS or some of the others that frequently have tibbies in, also?
  15. Love them!! Lol, my Chewbacca would be all 'and I decided that they may be lucky enough to serve and adore me for the rest of my days....'
  16. Hee hee! Tell her tibbie boys are very much mumma's boys ; p He's lovely, isn't he?!
