It always surprises me how many dogs I am told 'freak at the dryer' then when I bath them they have no problem with my big stand dryer! I supose it comes down to how the dryer is introduced! How many pet people turn the dryer on while it is pointed at the dog, or have it on a hot setting and on one spot for to long or to close?

Rubber back dries fast if you have it rubber side up. Both are great, just cut to size to fit in your washer, you should be able to sqeeze in a full piece to your washer but it won't leave much room for the soapy water to move around.

Lhasa Apsos are very similar to Havanese and probably easier for you to get. Havs are pretty rare in the UK too, so even the asking price of that 'pup' you found was far to cheap - a definite to good to be true warning!

urine off is a great product, if you can get it over there.

I use the Mikki nail clippers but it comes down to HOW you use them and the condition of the nail if you find it crumbles on cutting.

Could be anything from an infection to a sign of liver shunt or kidney issues. Best to get it checked out asap.

I do the same thing. Getting changed during a long wait also saves the show clothes from meeting any disasters like muddy paw prints or food/drink accidents.

Maybe this judge has been hands on more of your breed then you think, if they regularly judge abroad??

As show dog said, slicker and comb used correctly and often enough! if you are struggling then get the coat trimmed back to a more manageable style before he matts up.

Perhaps suggest taking both of them to your vet to get her a check up and letting the vet be the one to give him the facts?

oh, yes i see what you mean! Totally normal to add our kennel name - bit confusing is the rule that is breeder 1 has bred both parents who are now owned by breeder 2, then breeder 1 buys a puppy from them, their kennel name is supposed to go at the start of the dogs name, not the end as usual. Did that Dalmatian keep the same registration number? It is very unusual to have a dogs name changed after registration, not something I have seen actually happen before.

i have heard the E Z white is very good at removing stains, just use it as hot as possible and leave on for several minutes. I haven't tried it as I don't currently have a dog who needs it.

lol that's one way to get the message across! Sounds like the chap I had wanting to use one of my boys but he repeatedly kept 'forgetting' to send me the pedigree and health clearances. In the end I told him there was no point in continuing the discussion until the info I requested was sent. I was then told I had wasted his time, as obviously my dog 'wasn't up to the job' lol

As someone who has mini schnauzers, I am well used to the attitudes of 'breeders whose main interest is with other breed/s' and use my breed as a means to fund their main breed. So a uterus is a uterus so long as they produce enough pups!

I wouldn't call you a time waster from just an initial enquiry to find out exactly what was being offered for sale. As you say, if they don't have the basic info available then you have to ask - or are they just hoping to off load her to anyone who wants to have a go at breeding and not care about lines, health tests etc??

Yeah they sort of have to. To rename them to fit our rules is a bit over the top, a dog should be registered and given a name once and only once. I know the UK allow name changes but they are just weird :D . I'm really happy that we can use 30 characters now. My youngest pup is Sesukan Lil Scrumdidliumptious. Exactly 30 characters (including spaces). It would have been a nightmare trying to cut that name down to 24... On behalf of the UK, - HEY! In what way do you mean changing the dogs name? just adding the owners kennel name to the end of the dogs name?

Nope, wouldn't knowingly mate a carrier with another carrier.
