  1. I did think only in America at that invitation!
  2. So sorry to read this. What a delightful pet you had in Collie. She may now have met my old Buck at The Rainbow Bridge. Hugs to you,Perse & sweet Bruce.
  3. I am in the process of finding out that these treats you mentioned do cause 'changes' to the habits of puppies. Oh, man. Have we had the soft poos I spoke to my breeder. She is also a Vet. Her thoughts were that even though Herbie the Horrible is 6 months old, his stomach is not 'quite' up to gorging on treats. I felt a need to tell her my nose is not up to the pong either. Be careful with the puppy. Try to make sure he does not dehydrate. Good Luck
  4. I know it's slightly off-topic. How could that be done? Interesting concept. I wonder if a feral kitten hand raised might work? The family were lucky that the cat tried AND was successful in protecting the lad. Good moggie.
  5. Most certainly is. www.whelpingsupplies.com.au I have it earmarked.
  6. Hope so - this is a very dangerous dog. Makes me wonder what the rest of the litter's temperaments are like too ... Not yet. If you read the article where the cat is invited to bowl a ball at a Sports Match on 20 May, that is also around the time the dog will be pts. The 10 days of rabies involment is up then. Found a local article from the city involved.... http://www.bakersfieldnow.com/news/local/Officials-explain-why-dog-cant-live-after-attacking-boy-259470101.html
  7. That's the bottom line of having animals......... to love them, to tend to them and to protect them.... to CARE
  8. Agreed!!! The point I would like to make is you are a CARER. Your method is permanently having the animals and doing the caring. Considering they are both rescues, then you are fabulous to have stepped up and given them a chance.
  9. Aw!!!!! Aw!!!!! What a lovely LOVE story. I am so happy for all of you. He is a beautiful boy, for sure. No need to say more photos will be much appreciated. I had a very much loved poodle called Mr Tobias, aka Toby. Top name. LOVE
  10. I looked at the Trading Post after reading this thread. There were no words 'registered breeder' in the ads. However, there was more than one ad for pugs all with the same contact number but different suburbs.
  11. awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.... Hmmm, yeah, I like him heaps. LOL. Love his new name too. Welcome MACK! All happiness to you and your new hoomans WOOF!
  12. Yes, I went one step ahead and enquired about it... they can't ship it to Australia. In the little box down the bottom it says shipping to US states only. The customer service person told me that I could get it through their UK site however, and they can ship to Aus. I went to check it out... and it's soooooo much more expensive in GBP, the shipping is a killer too, I had to give up on it. The search for the perfect bed continues... Did you calculate the VAT gets taken off the purchase?
  13. I would go further and say that she probably saved his life.. No way would the boy's mum got the dog off him. Not only that, the mother as well could have suffered horrible trauma if she did try.
  14. Looking this over, I think it is a great supplement for people. I add the proviso they need to be aware of what to do, of course.
  15. Yay!!!! Smiles for the day. Thank you as always.
  16. Take it as a lucky escape for yourself. Good Luck with finding a better choice for your new puppy.
  17. So long as the mice were just toys Smoked salmon would be my treat for the moggie.

  20. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, dear Penny! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you
  21. That made me shiver in memory. Took heaps of phone calls AND help from a Vet we did not even know to get to the plane on time. The error? Incorrect name. It's such a nerve wracking time I would not risk glitchs. ( That's me , of course).
  22. This tabby followed the family home 6 years ago from a local park. She's named Tara!! Quite a special cat
