Do you mind me asking....What exactly is the problem with building an enclosure to keep your dog alive and visiting children safe? -
Please stop referring to them as "Designer" puppies

What do you mean polished turds on dog refuge pages? -
That's very sad But so lovely they had somewhere to go. It's hard to guess what animals are thinking but I'd worry they would get all excited. Instead of taking them home, could you bring a few things back to your home? Blankets (maybe some of Anne's), beds, bowls, leads, all their stuff if you haven't already? Now I'm going to sound like a space cadet but talk to them about Anne and her passing.

HELP! Menacing / Dangerous Dog
_PL_ replied to syntaxtc's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Declaration or not, if you want to keep him alive get a large secure run anyway. Your dog has bitten a child, it is dangerous. -
Unless she's got council rangers or police willing to get involved on her behalf - which is rare because it is a civil matter, then ownership disputes can end up in local court or with lawyers and frankly I don't think the old owners will bother. Get a detailed stat dec from the original minder, you might need it. (templates are online)

You might have to contact @JRT RESCUE for advice on rehoming one. I think that might work better for you all.

No it was just an example. I'm not a member but there is over 3k people in that one so might be worth joining just for a look before you decide to post.

Who is going to the Dog Lover's Show this weekend?
_PL_ replied to _PL_'s topic in General Dog Discussion
The day I was going turned into an adoption meet & greet. Sad I missed the show but it was worth it. -
Quite safe they were around the paddocks when I was a little kid.

How do I train my dog to sleep in his outdoor kennel?
_PL_ replied to Melert's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
If you can't sort out a way to bring him into your room at night drag the blanket off your bed and put it in the kennel. -
I adopted a dog and now the owner is asking for him back?
_PL_ replied to ades17's topic in General Dog Discussion
I really just want to say wait a couple more days and see if she changes her mind again. Might be the wrong thing to say but that's how I feel, I'm obviously torn on the topic of giving dogs away to strangers for flaky reasons. Yes, you'll have to seriously consider giving up the dog as the right thing to do. You will find another with no strings attached this time. I'm not sure I'd want the drama. It's only because you are trying to be nice that she even has the option of getting the dog back and that is to your credit. Others would tell her to go jump. And if it had been surrendered to a pound she'd have very little chance or the dog may not even be alive anymore. Anyway, as above, wait until she has the new rental sorted. Demand for pet friendly is highly competitive and there is no guarantee she has the property until the lease is signed. Unfortunately this does drag it out for you. -
Droncit is a tapeworm only tablet (incl hydatid) and you could do a couple of treatments of that - 6 weeks apart - to cover yourself if you're worried the sentinel may have missed a species.

Just curious. I'm thinking of going. The British Terrier Club has a stand.

Good point. We wouldn't rehome in a situation like that although I know so many people who have done it.

If you really must have a labradoodle. Just buy outright, desex and don't help line the pockets of this breeder any further.

BAWCS (Bendigo Animal Welfare & Community Services) might have heard something. -
Welcome It really depends on what your aims and goals are for your litter. You can't take an MDBA dog to compete in ANKC shows and it will probably effect your breeding options if you want specific lines that aren't on the smaller registry. MDBA are also registering crosses and colours that can't be formally shown or papered except under them, so that's either a plus or minus for you. As I said, depends completely on what you want in the long run. Both are quite different. oops sorry rebanne, posted a bit slow. Agreed.

There could be two things going on. It won't hurt to get a second opinion.

Absolutely yes to the diary. And if you can film the pacing and weird little jumps it will help as well if you have to describe them to the vets.
