  1. I have my girls urns in one of my glass cabinets. Along side them is a favorite pic of each. I also have a couple of collars and tags there as well. Unfortunately I am beginning to get a collection of urns.........
  2. Thanks so much Sway Have just watched London winning....beautiful dog!
  3. I know....thanks so much for posting the link!.....It must be me. When I click on the above link it takes you to the championship show group judging & BIS....which is awesome. But...I can't find the world challenge link, which had the Dally from Aust and London the Std from US which was the ultimate winner.
  4. I would like the link to watch London winning......I missed it...was teaching
  5. My dogs are awesome with the tree. But my cats!!!!!!..... Tuff tuff thinks the tree is her own personal gym!!! We have it anchored to the curtain rail in 3 spots with fishing line...thank goodness otherwise it would be long gone! She plays chasings with her sister....& has broken 4 deco's & a set of lights.....grrrrr

  7. ...You name it I've tried it  If it promised to grow hair & keep knots away AND worked! I would buy it buy the gallons  I am using aloveen or PAWS at the moment on my cut off poodles. Have just changed to Isle of Dogs on the coated show poodles. So far is working well & makes the house smell AMAZING! when washing them....which is alot! :D
  8. My black male adult std poodle does not really like the heat. I prefer to enter the evening shows. Unfortunately we can't wet them down either!!... It's a bummer though all the work that goes in the days before the show....only for it yo be a stinker ....like it was at EP last weekend!!
  9. OMG.....love all these sight hounds ...they are gorgeous!!
  10. I have this prob when showing one of my male std poo's. Have been told it is easier for the dog & becomes a habit! Was very hard to break!
  11. My white Std poodle has gotten hot spots, she also has sensitive skin. Never had one on my blk poo's. Whilst vet nursing the most common dogs with hot spots at our hosp were def goldens closely followed by rotti's!
  12. I always clip the area short, with a 40 blade if you have. I have hibiclens that i scrub the area with, wipe off then apply a cream with cortisone, such as neo. I have also used listerine mouthwash when desperate! (it has the same ingredient in the hibiclens solution)
  13. I have 3 Std Poodle boys..... My first is "Merry"....won't believe how many times Ive had to explain.....NO its not Maaary and not Merry Xmas the second is "Pippin".....we are big LOTR fans :) The third is the odd one out..."Romeo"!!!
  14. I think greyhounds would make awesome pets as therapy candidates.....
  15. Try walking 2 male show standard poodles in continental trim!!!! I get all sorts of rude stupid comments!! I have to bite my tongue alllll the time
  16. Maybe this is OT.....most regular vets don't want to deal with breeders. I know why lots of breeders would travel over an hour to visit certain vets....
  17. Never ever heard of it, and I have small dogs, one of which will be about 1.6kgs when she gets speyed and she will not need to stay overnight. I worked at a large practice in the suburbs of Sydney for 12 years. All bitch speys were kept overnight. It is a large intra abdominal procedure. Bitches were monitor post op and then the following morning all were examined by vet prior to discharge. They are kept quiet overnight. Dogs that had surgery for crypt-orchid were also kept overnight. The practice I worked at was an A grade hospital rather than a clinic. Depending on the grading some practices are not "able" to keep animals overnight. Many still perform large surgeries......they just get sent home. The fees charged at the hospital I worked at were those recommended by AVA, we did not undercut as many others do. When businesses undercut, corners need to be cut elsewhere....
  18. Hmmm.....like everything you get what you pay for. I would be asking what is included in the $450 eg...fluids, pain relief, bloods, monitoring whilst under anesthetic, over night hospitalisation. I always steer people away from the cheapest vets.
  19. I get my frames from red lea chicken shop!...
  20. For me its trying to improve on what I have. eg better fronts :) Choosing a sire that has qualities that are stronger than my bitch. But I would never go for type over temperament.
  21. Wow...  I thought I was the only silly owner to cop one in the nose by my boy!!! Good to see I am not alone :D ......must tell the hubby. The dogs was in his bad books after giving me black eyes. He too walks around with his hands cupped down low
