She need to be in the care of a vet and skilled foster carer to get weigh back on her. We have a foster carer in Sydney ready to take her.

She arrived into Great Dane Rescue today and she only weighs 5 kilos instead of 14 kilos.

Puppy is safe and sound and sleeping off a big day. Her condition wasn't as bad as we were expecting - still really lean, but not emaciated.

Unfortunately it's not great news for her and it looks like she has megaesophagus.

Had to google that word...is this why she was so thin? Good job Dogtainers.

Yeah. Unless she's fed in a completely elevated position, food just doesn't make it down and ends up being regurgitated.

Dogtainers are awesome! Did you arrange it through the Sydney guys? They are usually happy to help out rescues with reasonable rates to transport dogs - we've used them quite a bit and can't fault their service at all... and the guys who do the Sydney driving are completely lovely, they really care about every animal they have on board.
