  1. My dogs are usually in cool spots outside. They do like sunbaking but don't do it on stinking hot days. They don't use their pool though. No air con so they are better outside.
  2. Only one application makes her go nutty so she hasn't had too much of it. Heat is definitely making it worse. I wanted to keep her inside today but no airco and the heat was making her agitated. I had a choice of elocon or the cortavance spray and went for the elocon today after a bit of a google.
  3. Has anyone found that cortisone cream has made their dog's allergies worse? I've tried a couple of different creams now and they seem to hurt as they are going on and they make Amber rub even more. Aloe vera gel and Quit Itch seem to give her more relief. I've tried Neocort and just got some Elocon. I'm quite limited in what I can use because of her liver problem.
  4. How much was the Liberty table? Pet network have a pretty good selection of tables.
  5. Bugger the dogs I hate walking in the heat Everywhere I walk also involves a car ride and I am not keen on putting them in the car on really hot days.
  6. I use it in my own hair as a treatment. I put it in when I go to bed and wash out the next day. It goes on really greasy but then sort of sinks in and doesn't feel too bad.
  7. Different breeds have different levels of doggy smells. Dusk have good anti smell candles, carpet stuff and spray.
  8. I don't always get the cards either which does cause issues as the post office are a bit snakey about handing over the parcel without the card!!
  9. In the kitchen. There are a couple of beds and a open crate.
  10. Agreed! I had the exact same thought whilst I was browsing the website. Can anyone tell me some more about Chris Bach please? Surely someone in Australia with a doggie business wants to start up a library with a great range like this hint hint for anyone reading My dog club have a good library and lend the books and DVDs out to the instructors. Very handy!
  11. Glad to hear things are sounding more promising Aidan2. I remembered another sneaky way to get dogs to eat. Grind up some kibble (maybe half a cup). Add a couple of egg whites, add some milk or water. Mix up well. Cook as a pancake! You could add some cottage cheese too. Applesauce is popular too apparently.
  12. Are any of the back beaches dog friendly or the Mornington Peninsula ones?
  13. I did hear a rumor that they were going to teach it at Croydon again. We had classes years ago but they weren't well attended but now there are comps etc I heard they might start the class again.
  14. Sorry I know this has been done to death! But what are some nice beaches that allow dogs near Melbourne. Prefer beaches that allow dogs rather than dog beaches like Brighton. Poppy doesn't play super well with a heap of other dogs!
  15. Aidan are you sure you mean hypoparathyroidism? I would have thought with increased calcium that she would be hyper not hypo. Have they had a good look at her kidneys?
