  1. I don't watch the show - he is far too good looking and 'smooth' to be taken seriously
  2. Just a question... When you put pics on DOL why do you upload from an internet site? Why not just upload from your computer? I find it SO much easier:)
  3. My guess is the photo quality is up to you - it's the quality of the images you upload/store... Most of my flickr images are small ..around 200kb...just for keeping my upload limit low My redbubble ones however are all full res .(not as many)
  4. Ok...hope all now stays where it should ....
  5. I don't put up heaps of pics.. and prefer flickr. Photobucket is too complicated for me most of the time For uploading to DOL- I just grab photos off my computer..and emailing- Picasa does that ,as I use gmail. Most of my friends are on flickr- so we can share images/comments .It is also customisable -choose friends/family etc to view images.
  6. A doe & joey would be easy prey. Does are not usually robust enough to drown/damage a dog. Can you report them?
  7. Hoping that Q can be placed somewhere he can work to his heart's desire, and be successfully managed and contained and loved Hoping also that's Q's current owner gets the healing and peace she needs.
  8. Sounds as if they are just happy with each other's company
  9. Indeed ! all our dogs will hunt feral cats ...that's part of their job description - but don't worry about the house cats .They are not really high drive dogs- and are easy to control...
  10. and this could be 2 months or 12, depending on your training I don't think a pup/dog should be indoors all the time IF an outdoor area is available. You also need to consider your big dogs' reaction to a smaller dog!! If they are unused to puppies and small dogs ,and other dogs at their house- you could have some work to do ..and small dogs are often MUCH more energetic and noisy than larger dogs ;)
  11. (my bolded bit..and I feel it's important .We ,as owners often interact with our dogs almost on a reflex level. We are SO familiar with their body language..that things just 'happen'..with hardly a thought on our part .A dog in a new environment, with unfamiliar people will not usually behave in the same manner, and new owners will not be aware of all the little postures and twitches )
  12. What training/excercise do they get each day? Rough play is probably just a way to get rid of the frustration of being alone all day ...and a way to shake the cobwebs off
  13. Mavriksbt... I am so sorry you have been put thru the wringer by the tragic events at your place. Animals can really bring us back to basics! Poodlefan and nekhbet said it well.... you have a dog who is too much for smaller kids, has killed chooks and a cat and ,indirectly thru aggressive fighting, another dog . His new home needs to be absolutely managed, and strong, and capable of handling this drive. The GUIDANCE of a professional ,both in assessing and training would be invaluable ,the better to ensure a good and SAFE placement.
  14. it still sounds like a hernia - and you are wise getting vet advice soon .
  15. inguinal hernias are in the groin. umbilical hernias are in the middle of the belly- belly button place from your description...especially as it slips in & out ,( the gap in the muscle wall allows abdominal fat/contents to slide in & out somewhat) it does sound like an umbilical hernia - and yes, it does need vet attention/advice.
  16. perhaps an umbilical hernia- due to being pregnant, and extra stress placed on that area? Hope all is OK.
  17. Could be a very good resolution to the issue. It does sound promising - lots of work and guidance .
  18. Perhaps they don't have cats or other dogs? Guess the OP is putting her breeding cats safety foremost ..it would be a constant concern for her , I guess Such a hard time for Q's owner .... I do sympathise ,but am also convinced that the dog should be assessed professionally and desexed if not already, before rehoming.
  19. March flies are not ordinary 'flies' March flies are BIG..and sound like a motorbike They also bite enough to hurt... and don't usually go for ears- they like the muscly bits ! Because they are fresh blood feeders, like mozzies- fly traps don't work ..they aren't interested in decaying food ..they want to suck your blood!
