Could be just dirt and dust. Could be conjuctivitus. Could also be entropion, eyelids rolling inwards and irritating the eyes.
-
Elizabethan collar to stop the habit he has gotten into and to let his paws heal. It could have started out as a habit but now the spots have become infected and sore so that will cause him to lick even more.

How old? How big? If he is happy and continuing to eat and drink then I would wait. NSW seems to have alot of gastro going around.

My pug girl had one removed a few years ago, at the age of 4, when she had her dental done. Vet siad that it was caused basically from trauma to the mouth from teeth rubbing. I didn't have it sent off for tests but would have it it had started to regrow.

Wondering if Rescue Remedy might be useful. -

Contact your breeder. They should be a wealth of information on your breed. I am presuming you viewed his parents?

A ten week old puppy should be fed more then 2 times a day. Are you neighbours able to come over and feed her during the day? I can't say that I would consider eating grass normal. I would suspect something wrong with the digestive system making the dog want to eat the grass.

Your dog doesn't have to eat something nasty to get gastro. But I am thinking that she still has an upset tummy from the original gastro. Even the antibiotics could have upset her tummy. Might take a few weeks for things to get back to normal.

Sash Is Off To The Vet Today

Oh no. All I can think of is that you get a stool and urine sample from her at home and take it into the vets. -

Lets hope it's just gastro. Seeing that she is running around pretty happy it seems like it probably would be. The only really full on grass eater I have come across was a pug boy that I looked after that was in the last stages of Stomach Lymphoma. I think that the main reason that dogs eat grass is because they want to throw up or try to remove something that is upsetting them internally. If Sash has had gastro then it makes sense that she would be eating grass to try and cleanse her innards. -
 Yes I always have to tell the checkout lady that they are for my dogs. Um you would have a hard time trying to get the bones out as they are very soft and squishy. Ohh the ones I feed sure as hell look and smell like sardines.
-
It contains cereals which I personally think is a big no no in any form. Also has yeast added which I would be wary of for dogs that over produce yeast. Not sure about them adding calcium supplements instead of crushed bones. You could easily mix up some kangaroo, minced chicken carcuss, offal & veggies and hey presto.

I feed sardines once or twice a week. I think the only issue you could have with feeding them all of the time is your dog/s getting the runs.

Fantastic news. I can't believe the receptionist didn't fit you in or send you somewhere else with the description you gave. -

Currently struggling with my girl puggy, who is being very unhelpful in posing for photos in bitch undies. Ok photos taken. Basically the undies are made up of three parts. The main body part which you cut a hole for the tail and overlock/stich so it doesn't fray. And the two bits that you will use for ties at either end of the main part. Just make sure you make sure you make these long enough. Stick a pad in there and hey presto.
-
Tried the nappy thing and found that they just fell off and you had to cut a hole for the tail. Yep have seen doggy undies from the very small to the very large. Otherwise do you sew? Pretty easy to make up a few pairs of undies so that you can wash them from time to time.
-
Probably better off getting doggy undies for her and putting pads in them. The only thing you would have to be warey of is the urine burning her.

Does shound like your doggy things the bones are to hard for him. Give lamb bones (flaps, backs & necks) a go as they are basically the softest after chicken & turkey.

If his normal breathing is not a major problem then your vet is probably right in saying not to perform surgery now. Um 6 weeks. Where did she come up with that period of time? Maybe try 3 to 4 days of non excitment and then normal day to day house life with things being totally back to normal after two weeks. -
Totally agree. But the dog has to be young, you need a skilled specalist performing the surgery & you have to make sure you don't put a foot wrong during the recovery period. A good specalist surgeon should not give false hopes to owners. Peachy the price you have been quoted seems great. I know that going to a specalist surgeon means that you pay more but they are experts and perfectionist. I only know of specalists down here in Melbourne. Goodluck with your boy.

You might have to look into getting his soft pallet resected. How is his breathing normally? -
What about lamb flaps? How long are you actually leaving him with the bone?
