  1. If you do an internet search on coprophagia you will find a lot of info that might be helpful. Here is one site that was interesting
  2. My dogs hardly ever get washed, although Robbie did look amazing after he went to a professional and came back with a real Springer clip.
  3. "Little fishes" night is a big favourite in our house.
  4. Sorry for your loss :D Hopefully he is in a happier place now.
  5. My GSD is the same. He often refuses to eat dinner and is too thin. But, as the vet says, while he may loose weight he won't actually starve himself. It does feel mean, when all I have to do is add a bit of tinned food and whoosh the bowl is empty. We have also tried nearly every type of dried food available and nothing seems to help. Stubborn is a good word
  6. But that still doesn't tell you where to buy. Does anyone know an online retailer who is selling this? (My vet won't stock it as they carry Sasha's Blend.) ETA found some at the Vet Shed Is $73.00 for the 400g tub the right sort of price to pay? They seem to stock quite a few types
  7. What do you think "delicious" smells like? I think your dog may have a different opinion Agree with the votes for Aloveen.
  8. Think it depends on the dog too. I have one GSD who is as fussy as anything, one who'll eat most things and then an ESS who eats like he is a Lab.
  9. My vet gave the dilution as 1:34 Maleseb:Water. Love the tampon idea calliech! Think that collectively DOLers are a creative force to be reckoned with.
  10. Shmoo they are listed on DOL as one of the advertisers - http://naturalpetfoodsaustralia.com/
  11. That's a great site but I wonder what dairy container would do for a GSD?
  12. One of mine is on the SuperCoat Special Care Sensitive and the other two are on the unspellable one eukanuba. We tried Royal Canin and one stopped eating it after a bag and a half. They weren't thrilled about Nutro when we tried that. Guess its a case of trying different ones until you find what works for your dogs.
  13. aggh Pix sorry to hear there is more bad news for poor Kaeleigh. :hugs:
  14. Isn't it interesting how they always managed to take their stitches out when it is outside normal vet hours....
  15. Mine get Eukanuba, except for Coda. Our vet recommended Supercoat Special Care - she says GSDs do very well on this.
  16. wonder why? that sounds like a perfectly reasonable diet to me
  17. We use "lets go" for general walking. Haven't actually taught any of my current lot to heel, but my previous GSD definitely knew that heel meant pay attention along with a position; whereas lets go was for ambling along.
  18. We use Sentinel here and haven't had any issues. Much easier to give a tablet than try a spot on through a GSD coat.
  19. So putting them in a food processor is also a waste of time? My ESS seems to be permanently constipated and it was suggested that adding veggies to his dry food might help. but after reading this thread I'm more confused than ever.
  20. We use Sentinel and have no fleas. Used to garlic & liquid paraffin (the medicinal sort) to repel flies on horses - used externally, not eaten!
  21. Bet if he could have chosen, this way would have been his choice. RIP Thomas.
  22. Mine get a tin of sardines each once a week. Say "little fishes" to Robbie and he practically starts salivating on the spot ETA is the egg raw or cooked, or doesn't it matter?
