Its not cheap to run a rescue. Food, shelter, medications and vet work etc. Why shouldn't they charge for adoptions?

Humans treat all kinds of animals like shit and the majority of people don't seem to care so....I doubt much will change

In answer to point 3 - I have been receiving, on average, between 4 and 10 applications to adopt per day. Today? NONE. This is the affect the story has had on the public's willingness to adopt a greyhound. I so wish I was in the position to adopt a grey at the moment. I've fallen completely head over heels for them . I will be contacting you one day soon :) I hope it picks back up and this isn't a lasting effect.

I agree there seems to be not a lot of actual evidence re feeding the best diet, whatever that is, but more than anything I find it concerning that vets don't study nutrition. Assuming its still the same? We mostly feed raw but keep kibble on hand, but to be honest, our guys do great on both.

Yep, that works :) Personally I have no issue with it, as long as people are breeding healthy dogs with relevant health tests and not just in it for a quick buck then I don't really care where they register their pups, regardless of what breed they are. Totally agree

Lili is crazy over balls so we go out every hour or so and play fetch till she's exhausted :laugh: it's about the chase for her though.

Love hard rubbish. It's true that things aren't made as well anymore I do like that people aren't trying to scrounge every cent and sell it though.

My girl Chess had worn down teeth when we adopted her, so we don't use tennis balls either. I buy the coloured bouncy balls from rebel sport instead which are smooth and surprisingly durable. The lack of fuzziness has in no way diminished her all-consuming obsession :laugh: Same here. We banned tennis balls when we noticed Lili's teeth wearing down! Rubber Kong balls here and she loves them!

I'm not going to lower my standards just because lots of people are shit owners. She sucks.
