I was waiting once and a byb came in with a litter of staffys in a washing basket, put them on the floor and they all jumped out, one came over and was stood in front of my BT growling at her ! 10 mins later another litter of amstaffs came in, in another wash basket, yep same thing happened ,unvaccinated pups everywhere. I have my BT on a big thick retractable lead, simply because she stops to chew a stick, eat poo, roll in something dead or just amble around the same spot while we try and walk at a decwnt pace

I would say a grey too. Not many other breeds would fit only half an hours walk uness it was a small companion breed and then livig outside wouldn't suit. Puppy grey?

He was a handsome boy, even if i had no clue back then that he had something else in the mix :D I remeber telling you he was big, in hindsight he wasn't, but you still took him. He sure was a ringer in Denise's normal save ,by about 20kgs  She must have seen the gentle soul inside. i am not surprised you miss him, some are very special.

Seller was, "20011katie1667". it was $75 for a 6 pack of over 25kg.

White in a BT ,although a flashy looking black and white is ok. I tend to prefer, b/w, or red brindle in dogs, black in a Staffy. Not a fan of blue,or reds.

As i have a stone forming dally, who has had 2 blockage's , i am so glad it is being addressed at last! THANKYOU! I am off to the states soon, i must admit i have never seen a dally there, but will see what the attitude is to them. I have met mostly dodgy ones here too though, snappy and scrawny looking. My boy is American bred, much stockier ,and solid temp.

I hate NYE, the family up the road lets off fireworks out the front every year. My old dally hates it, he paces and pants and barks at the really loud ones. He sleeps inside downstairs, and i normally go to bed , but his bark is so loud it always wakes me up, and i lie in bed for about an hour waiting for him to shut up.

I hear you and had exactly the same when i was looking for my BT. I sent long emails, their choice of contact, about my experience with the breed ( have owned 3 ), my home, lifestyle etc. Out of the 3 kennels whose dogs i liked not one replied. it wasn't till a doler in the bully thread put me in touch with a breeder in vic that i found my girl, and still jumped through many hoops, pics of my place, several phone calls, in fact they said they would have to think about sending her interstate and would get back to me. It was only when i got offered another one that they said i could have her. Whats interesting is often at the fundays since i have seen dogs looking for new homes after their showing is over, if i had gone there first i may have found one more easily. Does your breed have a funday you could go to and meet people?

I would take her pic as suggested if she appears again, i would also have a chat to the council workers if you see them and mention it to them, they may have seen her around. I would get ready for a waiting ranger if i were you. I got reported once with my old bully by a women training her 2 BCs in the offlead area. Mine were playing and ran straight past her 2 ,stopped to say hello, and then came on my first call. The next day there was a ranger waiting for me as i had a "dangerous dog" on the loose she said. Luckily the ranger was fine and said my dogs were all under control and not to worry.

Didn't work for mine either. My dally has bicarb in his food anyway and it still burns the lawn. The other 2 pee on the astro turf.

I have used them lots of times via Ebay and it normally arrive's the next day. However their price for Advocate has crept up, and i can now get it off another powerseller on Ebay for almost $20 less so tried them this time, and came 2 days later. :)

French Bulldog With A Prolapsed Bowel

I agree, Advance is a good quality food, and chopping and changeing all the time won't help. I would call his breeder asap . -
I agree, not ideal ,but the suggestion to smash the glass and get them out is a bit of a worry, trying to get others to act on their behalf.
-
One other thing, don't leave food out for him all the time, feed him at regular times, if he doesn't eat it, take it away. You are in charge not him, he won't die if he doesn't eat for a day, it also doesn't help with training as he is never hungry. Being tougher on him isn't being mean, dogs respect a leader with boundries, its less stressful for them.

Dogs Found On Public Holidays
juice replied to sas's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
Vets? the Animal Hospital off Windsor road holds them when i find them. -
What Dogmad said, either way round is fine providing by the time the second one arrive's the first one is settled. With all due respect Oakway, your view on pound dogs is crap, and ill informed. Most poundies are dumped as their owner bought the wrong breed for their lifestyle, and then expected it to train itself.
-
i am not on facebook, does anyone know if the parents have seen the comments and rsponded? i just want the dog to be safe.
-
I have a byb dog, a poundie and a breeders ex breeding bitch. I don't agree that most poundies have problems, many are untrained and goofy, but thats fixable. Don't let people guilt you. After i lost my last rescue BT i wanted another one, so i went the breeder route. I didn't want a pup, so looked for an older dog to fit. There are alot of dogs out there needing a home with breeders, and you know roughly what you are getting. 3 months is not long to settle a new dog in, they often take that long to show their real colours ,and then you will bring another into the mix.

The guy i knew who had them in the UK , was a byb, he supplied them to pubs etc. There was a fatel attack in the UK ,and he got a few sent back to him after that, one attacked my JRT at the yard, didn't know he was there at the time, my oh saved my dog. The others were kept at his house, seperated as they didn't get along. He thought it was funny once when we went round to bring one in the house to rough up in front of us, he told us to sit still and not move or the dog would attack us, one of the scariest moments of my life!
-
I admit i used to be wary of them, only because where i kept my horses in the UK they had several and they were not nice ( owners roughed them up for fun). But that all changed when i met a dolers 2, now i love them and would steal one of his in a heartbeat he is such a lovely dog.

what a hunker chunker! we have a puppy black lab just arrived in the next street, we keep meeting him on walks, very cute and confident he so wants to say hello to my lot as he walks past ( owner not so keen on a BT comming near, but working on it  ) I like black ones the best. -
I really hope the parents see what they are doing wrong and take in in. Where was the original video? is there a chance they will see comments made? I get fed up with seeing shots on funniest home video with little dogs snarling at owners who just keep pushing and think its funny
