  1. its a shame the dol police are at it again he is a dog, not a baby, thats why he has fur you will come across lots of different opinions here, just take what you need and ignore the rest
  2. I would say while he is small ,he just gets up and squats where he is, just slosh it down with white vinegar and water. He will soon make it to the lawn, where it won't run over his feet either, so he will prefer it. I have had lots of foster pups, and not many have gone on my patio, as they follow the older dogs to the lawn. As long as he in undercover, and has lots of warm bedding he should be fine, you could always put a smaller box inside the kennel till he grows into it to make is more snug. and a cuddly toy.
  3. martingales and leather leads. except my old bully who i walk seperatly on a retractable lead, reason.....he just ambles along at his own pace having a sniff and look around then we go home, i never have it to the end. and its not a cord one, but heavy duty . i have used it on fosters here and there.
  4. i got mine from "canine spirit", you can just buy 2. i got the ones for walking in, but they do softer ones. they velcro on, and are waterproof
  5. teebs, try getting the kennels off the ground too, i have mine on wooden pallets. i also have a piece of rubber on the bottom of the kennel ,then the bed on that. straw sounds like a good idea, might try that one how about dog boots? i bought some for mase for his sore feet, and they are brilliant, they are by "canine spirit", they do soft ones.
  6. so sorry you lost chance, i didn't realise he was so old. you gave him such a good life, and so much more thn he could ever have got before you saved him, it was fate, you were meant to find him. take care
  7. good to have you back, you are a legend
  8. I get sick of people telling me dally's are stupid, mine must be broken then And that my bt is a pitbull,
  9. when i had me wei pts i got a reminder for his vaccs about a month later have since changed vets.
  10. There is a guy round the corner from me who has 2 aussie bulldogs, i thought they were bb, as they are very low to the ground and broad. A friend in my street told me they were aussie's, he has a bb, and its interesting, as his boy is much taller, fitter (goes for 40min walks), much healtheir looking dog allround, but i would have placed them the other way round
  11. i'm sure more qualified dolers will be here soon to help , but sounds like you are punishing ,and rewarding the wrong way round. indy is up with you, and telling cayene to go away, you are endorsing her behavoir by punishing cayane, and picking indy up.
  12. i have a prong, and walk several other dogs who wear them, although they can still learn to 'lean" on them.
  13. fat ugly dogs, doing the breed no favours no wonder in most pics they are sitting and panting
  14. i agree, ring council everytime its out, and mention it makes your dogs bark, in case anyone reports your dogs for barking.
  15. i hate it, i was at soccer this weekend, normally take one dog with me, this time it was my cattle dogs turn, when the lady next to me wanted to give him some chips she asked first, and i said "no", she wanted to know why not. i tried to explain that they only get dog food ,and that i don't want to encourage begging. she looked at me if as if i was really mean, then proceded to 'accidently" drop one next to ozzie, who just looked at it and left it
  16. my cattle dog approach's in exactly the same way, crouching down, fixed stare, crawling low down, then big rush.....quiet scary if you don't know him :D thats exactly why he isn't allowed to do it to anyone who doesn't already know him. i consider it rude of them not to keep him near as they approached and walked past. :D
  17. i would like to see a price too, when i first came to ozz years ago i wanted a bully, but i felt embarrassed to ring any ads without a price ,in case i couldn't afford it . i was surprised about the cattle dog price, considering how many there are around in pounds etc, they must be being byb alot, which is a shame, my neighbour has a young blue boy he paid $3000 for, but he is an awesome looking dog, with perfect temp.
  18. i suck at writing down what i mean too, thats why its good to have you back jed
  19. she is lovely, and my fav grey colour too this is ot, and please don't think i am being nasty, but what if you find a home who doesn't want her on the couch, not everyone does. do all foster greys get taught they can sit on the lounge? i am also curious as to why greys have to be inside, surely they live outside in kennels when they are in training? honest questions, don't bite
  20. good post erny i am not very good at expressing myself in words , can never get down what i mean i miss jeds posts, i always thought, once jed had posted there was nothing more to say. we miss you jed.
  21. just down the road from me ,and i have a dally perhaps i should get my teenage duaghter out of bed and ask her how i apply hey jacq, you have some good pics of appollo, which one should i send? just looked ,all my pics of him are old, can we use one of yours jacq? wonder if they want a white bully
  22. cattle dog dally would eat the bunnie's
  23. what stunning dogs, i had no idea what they were either, off to check them out
  24. i agree greytmate, i have a very small yard, only 460sqm, big house and pool the older settled dogs don't care, they move from one bed in the sun to another, and go out twice a day for a big run, but i have fostered pups, and its much harder, they have no brakes, and hoon around, they need space to get out of the way of the older dogs when they get cross too i gave up on pups, much prefer seniors
  25. when i first put them on, mase just stood there  so i just did one at a time, he has got used to wearing one, so will be putting the other front one on this week aswell.
