Shouldn't expect anything less from a vet who promotes her dd mutts in the ads inbetween DA means HA , jaws lock, where does she get off Snowy did look kelpie x bt to me. Really bad episode, thank dog for the lamb

Where did you introduce them? On their turf? Always a good rule, meet on nuetral territory, go for a walk, keep a bit apart, walk relaxed and chatty, and gradually move closer , keep moving all the time. Always works for me, everyone comes home pooped and walk in the yard together.

Should I Or Shouldn't I? Any Thoughts Appreciated.

I would say ,go meet him with tango, and take it from there. A young pure dally would rehome easily, with training, i had a pup once surrendered, was inundated with calls for him. Can you seperate them at all if need be? Tango may give him more leeway if he is still pupyish enough. My dally, being 9 will growl if a pup jumps all over him, its enough for them to take note, and they then stop and lick his face, or lay down, they soon learn respect. However, i know this is difficult with tango to let it him teach him manners, in case he takes it further. -
perhaps they are'nt hungry, they do look very well "covered"

I have a male dally, he is 9 and i have had him since a pup( byb). I also have a male bt and male cattle x. My dally is rock solid with other dogs, he is the perfect dog( unless you are a cat ) I have lost count at the amount of fosters i have had, mainly male, some entire, and never had any issue's. I trust him 100%. However, i have also never met another dally like him, others have been snappy and nervous. my main man appollo And with fosters

Go somewhere not so exciting first. I have my pups offlead immediatley, i figure when they are really small they follow you anyway, i call them ,give them a treat and pat, then sometimes put them onlead just for a few minutes, then let them off again, i don't put them onlead everytime i call them, i figure if you do they won't want to come back. I find by letting them off early, and it being a good experience to come back, it works. Otherwise you wait and wait, and they think whoho i'm free at last

whippy? or are they no good at agility we have a sheltie over the road, yep, glad i don't live next to it

welcome, i am not far from you, if you want your pup to get used to calm dogs, most welcome to meet my lot one day, we have a big area at the end of our road with lake etc. mine won't get in his face, they are very laid back. so if you just fancy a trundle round the field in a relaxed walk, no stress, bring him over, they are big, but meet dogs all the time. i would just be getting him out in a relaxed place, don't go to the dog park at b'hills, too many rough badly behaved dogs in there, but you can walk around outside, which i do when i take my kids to the skate park there. just don't put him in a position where he feels threatened, keep calm and relaxed when he meets dogs, keep moving, and don't over fuss him. :D

I thinks as said before, refund purchase price to vet doing op, but recommend your vet. Then its up to them who they choose, but as a condition the dog is desexed too.
-
i agree with all tj says, mine had the same prep, it has developed a few dips, its a high traffic area. but i am really pleased with it, people always comment on it, i had the cheap stuff before, and it just flattens to look like green carpet after a while. :D it does get hot in summer, and i spray it with vinegar if it gets smelly.

Breeder would be first call. Then to be honest ,bit bloody selfish to expect to rehome him locally so she can see him, not fair on the dog, and placing him in the right home is more important i would have thought.

My cattle dog has never humped anyone, and he try's to hump mazda, so does my bt? I would really be interested to know what vibes mazzy is giving off too. :D
-
Thanks teebs, they look justwhat i am after, which size do you have? Was thinking the large would be ok? Are they ok to just go on tiles do you think? I suppose i could put a piece of carpet underneath it for more warmth. How much roughly are they ?

I am looking for an indoor bed for my old bt. I currently carry in one of the tramp beds from outside, which has soft beds ontop of it, but i am fed up with lifting it in everynight So i was looking at the rogz pods, as they look comfy, but are they ok on their own as they are on the floor? He is inside at night, heating is on, and he has a coat on too. I was thinking of just buying another tramp bed with a snooza bed to put on top, then saw the rogz? any idea's?

9 year old dally with djd in both hips. Also suffers from 'dally stones' had one blockage, so restricted diet. Bully, skin allergies. Pound cattle ,strong as ox
-
Ihad mine done over a year ago, still really pleased with it, but make sure they can get off it in the summer as it gets hot if there is no shade.

I think the main problem, apart from useless owners, is they are too small. I would like to see a long walks fenced off, to keep owners and dogs moving. Perhaps a small one for small dogs only?
-
don't use them, too many idiots who just let the dogs have a free for all, who can't read body language my dogs meet lots of dogs, so no need to meet anymore badly behaved ones. i let mine off when no one is around at huge reserve near me, its got tree's and a lake, and everyone uses it, i put them back on when i see someone.

i would have thought it should have been $600, i thought white boxers were a fault? and also could be deaf.

Mine never did, then i got my old male bt, who is desexed, for the first few weeks he would hump the dog beds for ages, stop ,panting to take a break and then carry on He has never tried it with my other 2 male dogs, however another doler has a setter, and he tries to hump him, what is interesting, is my cattle male ( desexed) has never humped anything, also tries it on the setter. Apparently every dog the setter meets tries to hump him, and it has got much worse since he was desexed a few weeks ago, so much so that he had to leave the dog park after being chased by alot of dogs all trying to hump him? Why is this? Is he giving off dominat signals? He is a typical dopey setter

I have a dally, cattle x and bt, and have fostered numerous breeds over the years. My dogs tolerate other dogs really well, my dally tells pups off if they leap all over him, and my cattle loves to rumble with anyone who comes to visit He plays very rough, herding and rushing, his fav buddies on our walks are gsd's who play as hard He used to love playing with a neighbours ex racing greys, one would chase him ,and he would chase her, until one day i saw a light flick on in her head, and he ran behind me and hid I'd say mine would run with most breeds, its more personality than breed to mine. 2 of mine, with 2 fosters
