hey, i'm really sorry, i had no idea, take care
  2. nope, just those few lines, it was the "$$$" to be made part that i didn't like, poor dogs :nahnah: i know dallys have big litters, my boy was one of 16.
  3. darn, i was sure i had it in the bag can we try again
  4. just saw this add in our local paper " pair of breeding dalmations, $$$ to be made, $4000 pair, won't seperate" it was below an add from same number selling dally pups, must go ,last 5, poor girl has only just had a litter then $4000 is way steep i would have thought for 2 dallys
  5. it fitted in my wagon, without taking the lid off, will take a pic when i get chance, off to soccer!
  6. hi jane, i have a really big one here i bought from ebay , mason likes sometimes to get away from the others on the patio, its under a tree round the corner, but i discovered it doesn't have vents ,so a bit hot in summer, so i am trying to bid on another on ebay, then you could have this one? its fibreglass, easily big enough for a goldie, lid comes off. i would also suggest you put it on a wooden pallet, gets it off the ground and easier to get into.
  7. i am so glad he is back, but agree, poor bloke must have been through hell :D go tybrax
  8. i believe his return had alot to do with a doler, who got involved and spoke to council about their action so glad the old chook is back where he belongs its a very scary situation with all bull breeds owners if you fall out with a neighbour who wants to get back at you :D
  9. no, you shouldn't feel guilty. i personally find my breeds of choice in abundance at the pounds, so will always take a rescue if one suits me in the future, if not i would go to a breeder.
  10. it is very hard to walk away. i don't buy anything from petshops that sell pups. however i do go to the markets to buy flowers and have to walk past the cages with pups in, last year i had the same dilema when i saw my fave breed ,3 cattle pups, at the 'too big to sell' stage. i came home, mulling over how i could buy them and desex them and find homes etc, but i knew i had to leave them in reality, not easy though
  11. sas, does it remove them completly? really big ones? mason has a few on each elbow, think he had a hard life, he spends all his time here on the softest beds
  12. actually i have just remembered a thread last week about 2 dally's looking for a home together, they looked lovely :D
  13. i have a dally, who is outside 24/7, but he does have 2 other dogs , not sure i would ever have a dog out 24/7 on its own. we have a similar setup, enclosed area, lots of beds, and 3 big kennels on palets with warm beds in, he does wear a really good coat in winter at night. i have kids too, he is a great dog, very solid temp, however that hasn't been the case when i have met other dallys, some i find a bit snappy. a gr would be a good choice too, much calmer than a lab. dally rescue would be worth a look, maybe a calmer older dog would suit your nervous child, i know kids love dally's, they all run up to see mine, my poor bully and catlle don't get a look in
  14. steve austin was a d%ck , met him once, he commented on my gsp ( it was actually a wei ). i agree about the kennels bred twice in 18 months, yeah right and notice they had some dogs looking happy playing behind him while he talked, bet they don't get to all get out normally i wish they had mentioned money, that normally hits home, how much are you paying for a mutt, compared to what you would pay for a purebred which has been health tested.
  15. try ebay, much cheaper, i got my last huge one on there for $40.
  16. i understand your pain brooke, i had to make the same call last year of my wei, who was getting too unpredictable, i have kids too i thought about rehoming him to an adult, one dog family, but being realistic it wasn't going to happen. ;) i still miss him alot i too got wonderful support here from dol, good luck with the choice you make.
  17. as its only 3 days could you get someone to come and walk them and feed them everyday at home? shame i'm not near you , i often do this for friends wo go away for the weekend. :D
  18. hi jen, good to see that lovely looking dog back again
  19. i love little black bricks, kegs on legs ot, but when i got my first bt years ago, you paid more if they had a black patch over the eye, don't know if thats still the case? choc labs seem to fetch way more too than goldens or blacks
  20. thankyou tybrax, i live near blacktown pound, if i can be of any help, please let me know. i did pm a rescuer i know who goes to bp to see if royce is there, and how he is, but no response.
  21. will look forward to the results, i was very kindly offered a ticket this morning, but i have only just finished work, have my dogs to do, and to be honest, i don't do dress's and bling for anyone ( don't posses either ) if i could go in combats and t shirt i would be fine have fun everyone
  22. i know i thought it was rough too, blacktown pound is no place for a 13 year old dog
  23. i just read the article in my local paper, i know there are 2 sides, but i thought it was a real shame the owner is an older guy, his dog is 13, staffy x mastiff according to him, never been in trouble , but 4 weeks ago rangers came and siezed the dog saying it was a restricted breed. they had warned him the dog had to be desexed, and a cage built, he said he got him desexed, although he was worried doing it as he was old, but he wouldn't build a cage. he says the dog is not a pit, has never been in trouble, and now he fears the dog will be pts. such a shame, dog looks like any xbull breed in the pound.
  24. thanks was going to ask my friend who race's greys ,but havn't seen him this week, thanks
