  8. Highly recommend Hornsby dog club who meet at Rofe Park for socialising and provide quality training and classes. There used to be a great afternoon crowd down there every day, I'm sure there are great people still there but we haven't been in years so just take it easy, especially with a pup.
  9. I've only just seen your beautiful tribute to Indi. rip handsome man, your humans were lucky to have you, and you, them too.

  13. Hi, We have been living with this for over 12 months now - my girl is no longer mobile but we still manage and she is still a happy dog. I think she is literally the same age as your GSD - she was born Sep '02. Jumabaar's suggestions are all fab, she has been incredibly helpful in our journey already. Honestly, the easiest tool is a towel! Under the abdomen - remember the front legs still work and they will be happy to still use them. There are a lot of things we have learnt along the way to keep her happy and healthy (in colsultation with professionals of course!). Feel free to PM if you have any specific questions.
  14. So sorry for your loss Montall
  15. Consider physio for long term care and prevention, specific exercises to develop the correct muscle groups to provide best possible support
  16. I have neighbours from my end that travel to Kograh for a vet - it must be him! We at in one of the parks around Sydney Park... So not close!
  17. So sorry to hear Dave and Kynan. Dave I too have been following and have been heartened at the love and care you have shown Jazz. My last girl was a cross GSD and we lost her at the young age of 6 to cancer. My current girl is 13 (also a cross but remembles a lappie more than a GSD) but we have been lucky to see her 13th birthday at all having had various other reasons to be at SASH this year, they truly are wonderful there and provide the best of care. Wishing Jazz more wags and strength to you.
  18. Happy birthday Amber!!! Gorgeous girl
  19. Hey BC, was there training involved so that they would keep the mutt muffs on? My girl is so bad now, the only thing that works is valium - on consultation with the vet of course. It's been a hectic week in this house with the storms!
  20. Puppy training pads might be a cheaper option, you can sometimes get them with sticky bits on the back so they dont slide on the bedding. They're a saviour, just wrap em up and chuck em out if they get soiled. All towelling and mattress protectors get lined with them at the working end now. Best of luck with the poor poppets.
