  1. A gorgeous old soul http://m.weeklytimes...h-1227593265303
  2. I do this on my dogs :) Not along their sides, but their entire undersides are nekkid!
  3. None of mine are on anything. They just get searched. I was planning on making up an essential oil spray for a bit of extra piece of mind. But No prevention is 100% so i dont bother with it personally. I know many dogs who have had ticks, and have been symptomatic with nexguard, advantix, the scalibor collars etc. Though i can imagine searching isnt really possible with a lappie. Perhaps she needs the advantix :)
  4. I have heard this. But so far have had no issues. But i guess once again, everything in moderation is the key :)
  5. Would be great, but none of my dogs wear collars And looks much too large for a cat
  6. Where did you get it done? And was it one of those in house kits- as if so, they can be quite inaccurate.
  7. There is some very helpful files in the Facebook groups "raw feeding friends" Ian Billinghurst's give your dog a bone is recommended often :)
  8. They definitely can. One of mine who couldn't care less about pats from anyone is always so gentle yet friendly when around disabled people. Its amazing.
  9. Mine have been enjoying their beef pizzles and mussels! But have enough to last a fair while
  10. Bringing this thread back from near death- have just ordered one to try from K9Pro! The strap on Kokoda's other harness was starting to wear. Will update with pics when i get it :)
  11. Yes, our club doesn't allow harnesses for training runs :) Only for rear end awareness exercises or shadow work etc.
  12. I've got these ones too....fully adjustable & doesn't restrict movement :) She wears it during agility training & also as a car harness I dont own one (been resisting ) but they have an adjustable neck area, so maybe worth a shot.
  13. She is so cute! My dogs have a bed made from the same rainbow fleece :D
  14. Had a crazy lady tell me my dogs wouldn't feel less hot after a clip. And that their coats wont grow back. She was a cav breeder and so set in the standard that apparently i was being cruel Their hair continues to grow back Plus they are one of the few spaniel breeds who dont have a show clip, but their coats are remarkably similar to some.
  15. I completely agree with this. While I am guilty of regularly saying that Del is naughty (in an affectionate way) . I don't actually believe that she is naughty. She is just clever and opportunistic and does what works for her :) See, i do know that, and my dogs are in general very good. Also i would call them cheeky, more than naughty. But they definitely know what is right and wrong and will choose the wrong at times. And always with a satisfied look because yes, its obviously more rewarding to ignore me and roll in a dead possum, or to ignore me and go for a swim, but they definitely know i didn't want them to do that. The looks on their faces whilst considering what they should do says it all I don't mind things like that though on occasion, so i haven't put more training into them, and they can remain cheeky dogs!
  16. Most of them have such similar ingredients i dont understand how they could be detrimental when switching between kind of related, recently i found out that at one of the large dog agility comps people often take their own water as the dogs often get sick from it. My dogs didnt bat an eyelid for the week they were drinking it. And i put this down to variety in their diets. I never even thought that tap water could affect my dogs  terrible owner i am!
  17. Kokoda definitely does. And half the time you can see when he makes his his decision to be naughty too
  18. Amazing Sail-away! Todd and my jacaranda in the background Edit: its quite large. Not sure why and how to fix that. usually they are fine!
  19. Dave-O Wrote a review on the dog food review site and was asking if anyone fed it :) I can see that....but the last post before his was 9th March 2012. Any topic that hasn't had a comment made on it for over twelve months, can't be commented on....or does this just happen to me Trivial, I know but just wondering how he did it This is the message I get on post that are over twelve months old.... Old topic! This topic has had no activity for over 365 days. Due to that, you will not be able to reply. Please create a new topic! i have seen those also. But am assuming they have to be closed by troy? Or perhaps have the ability to be reopened? Dave-O share your magic :D
  20. Mine don't get much dry food at all, but i do rotate it around :) Both brands and flavours within brands

  22. Nope! Wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole for my dogs. henry is allergic to life, and half those ingredients are suspicious. ...Applaws is grain free and has a very good rating, was just reduced at Woolworth (2.7 kg for $10, normal price is $18)... there is also Natures Goodness, also grain free... (also from Woolworth)....on both packages is states that they are made in Australia... And Blackhwak now :D
