Because the full coat is A LOT of work. Especially if you have a dog who loves running outside and gathering stick and dirt etc. If i got one i would keep it clipped, but not naked i think. I also like to see their eyes, which typically you cant

Standard Treatment For A Cut Foot Pad
denali replied to Mrs Rusty Bucket's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
When my dog did his, my vet advised me to leave it unwrapped to let it air, but also said some prefer to wrap to then keep it clean. So maybe a cotton sock would be the best of both worlds. Would love to know what others recommend :) -
I just don't think people think of them. Definitely not the grooming, the larger oodles need just as much if not more and are very popular.. Being a dog person, when a friend asked me for a fluffy breed comparable to an oodle's coat but purebred and larger than a lagotto and not a beardie, i didnt even think of these guys. But i think they would fit excellently !

You must be up in the middle of the night too - I thought I got it before anyone would see it . I too would loved to have known :)

Hi All - Searching For Another Family Member!

They are one of my favourite breeds. Such happy little creatures. The cavalier rescue often has adult cavs available ;) -
I would also think maybe a contact allergy to a grass or similar. However it is possible, it is also possible that he is allergic to one of the fillers in the tablet. If it is indeed the glucosamine, maybe try another anti inflammatory. Some include: - rosehip vital canine - tumeric golden paste - ginger In my experience, if my dog eats something he is allergic to the response is much sooner than 4 weeks. Henry is allergic to grains, just in two days he will have shown symptoms. Also in the meantime calendula tea would help soothe :) Or even cooled green tea.

I have worked in a few salons, and some of them had multiple brands so have plenty of experience with dryers In my opinion we have: Ezycoat: not as good as something its price should be, quite weak with its air flow. Oldfield: Unsure of price range- SO noisy. But effective. Lazor RX: excellent value for its price. I do not recommend the fancy one with the digital display. It is a pain to click its buttons. the old fashioned flick switch is the way to go. B-air: Quite good, and reliable, though i think the Lazor is better. Liberty: the one i experienced was a stand dryer, so a little different- but we were always having to get it repaired.. And ebay purchases: they were purple and oval shaped, they worked well, until they started squealing- it was a horrible sound- and then their switches died My favourite dryer that i have ever used so far is the Double K Challengair. but with the US dollar at the moment would probably be out of price range. Hopefully that helps a bit :)

That's what rings serious alarm bells to me. Smells like BYB or Puppy Mill to me. Didn't realise Soringer Spaniels had been elevated to 'designer dogs'. Must be because they are so pretty. How awful for them. I know- i had no idea they were gaining in popularity. Never a good thing when BYB'ers are involved They are potentially used in the spaniel x poodle mixes. Even potentially along the lines in an 'australian labradoodle'- i am pretty sure i read that once upon a time.

Or most of the oodles- especially the larger ones.. They typically have very large litters and sell pups for $$$. I checked the trading post firstly, which led me to finding registered breeders, but its pretty much the same as gumtree.

Ooh- they have some good looking mixtures! I may have to email them and see if any would help Henry.

Mini Dog Clippers Where Can I Buy Them ?
denali replied to Christina's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Those ones are battery operated Denali I am aware- i more meant the size The only corded or non battery operated and dockable trimmers of that size that i know and would recommend are the wahl bravuras. But they are a fair bit more than $30.. -
Mini Dog Clippers Where Can I Buy Them ?
denali replied to Christina's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I am aware these are battery operated, but something about this size? http://www.ry.com.au...DgHZBoC2Ijw_wcB edited to clarify. I have some that would suit at the vet clinic i work at- will check the brand for you when i am in next :) Otherwise wahl bravuras. -
I don't know of any personally, but they usually do advertise on gumtree, so if you can find multiple ads with the same phone number that may be a good indicator. I do also know there isn't much you can do to shut it down without undeniable proof of the living conditions..

Karalea he is gorgeous! I love berners Maybe one day when i buy a car that could fit one
-
Mine would as an average be fed at 7am and 6pm. But this isn't exact :)

Yes, Amber, who i used to dog sit frequently was only around 20ish kg. She could curl up into my cats bed, it was so funny to watch. They are definitely smaller than a greyhound i would say. Especially the females height wise. Im going to share a picture because she's beautiful :D Here with my 9ish wk old cav ETA; sorry, just saw they didnt like the vizsla type. I will leave this here for others anyways :D
-
I wish! That would be awesome
-
I was going to suggest Vizsla. The couple i have met have fit the bill perfectly. But be prepared to share the couch also :D And i am basing that off my knowledge of only a few dogs, more experienced people may well come in and say not suitable, but i think they could be worth looking in to :)

I think the not raw and kibble thing stems from dogs who have only been fed one or the other their entire lives and then have a large meal of the opposite one. If that makes any sense And then their stomach pH isn't quite correct for their new diet which can be uncomfortable. With yours and the variety they have always had i dont think this would be an issue. My previous cav didnt do very well on black hawk, never tried advance. he got Royal Canin Cavalier and did very well on it. Nowadays my guys get raw only, sometimes some ziwipeak in a treat ball. They eat duck and chicken wings, chicken necks and frames, drumsticks, turkey necks, beef or lamb liver (wont eat chicken livers), kidney, green tripe, mince, kangaroo chunks, they get the occasional 'soup bone' or brisket bone too which usually keeps them going for the day :) I also just buy things on special for them, they got a lamb roast that was marked way down once, i cut it into pieces and it lasted them a month. I cooked one for us humans too. Didnt last quite as long Just add the organs in slowly if you do. Or with a meal like chicken necks that are quite boney. ETA: they are fed twice a day unless i give them a big bone for the entire day.

wolf bears? Definitely not sighthounds

Sadly I think the lawyer would end up costing more than the boarding and vet bill, and I just want to focus on the furbies now. The whole situation zapped too much energy. I just hope what happened to us makes kennels re-think their procedures and encourages owners to ask - or get in writing - what the procedures are for ensuring 100% separation. I highly doubt that it will - there were no consequences to the boarding kennel so why would they re-think their procedures? Sure the entire situation is energy zapping but why would you not collect the antibiotics you paid for and are entitled to? Seriously no consequence?? How about a bad name and a lack of business. Not sure about anyone else but that would be seen as a consequence to me! Seriously! Bad name? I am yet to know which Boarding Kennel and it's not like there was a public announcement on several mediums slandering the kennel? I highly doubt this has caused the kennel any lack of business at all. A few people know which boarding kennel due to another post :) But you are correct, its not publicly known, so those few people may not use the kennel, but the vast majority of people continue blissfully unaware of any situation ever occurring and no bad name has been made.
