Kibah is the first dog or pet of mine who's died since I got myself a digital camera. I find alot more comfort from looking at photos of her on my computer than I would flicking through little 5x7's.

Yes it's a wonderful that the digital age has us given such beautiful images, especially yours Kirislin. As I've said before your photos are so amazing I feel like I could reach through the screen and touch them.

Right now I wish I could too, I've just been gazing at her sweet face.

Totally agree.

Something I loved, my sister took my favourite photo of my boy when he passed away and got a canvas made as a surprise.

I was so amazed. I love it. It hangs over my bed :)

Just thought it was a nice idea and you may like it too.

RIP Kibah. hope you are doing ok too. I know it is hard.

thankyou all. I'm missing her, I still cant quite get used to her being gone forever, even though it is a week today since she left me. It's like she's just in another room and she'll come tootling in looking for bananas or come and bury her head in my lap for cuddles.

I'm glad she's not suffering anymore though and when I get melancholy I remind myself that we had no other option.

I just have to show off this photo of her.

My darling girl Kibah in her prime. Peak of health and condition, plenty of heart and lung room in that chest, she was a little ball of muscle and raced as Pocket Rocket. That day all the race dogs wore a little black ribbon in rememberance of a fellow whippet who'd recently died.

Although the racing was purely amateur I took it very seriously and used to trial my whippets twice a week, Mondays and Wednesdays at the Healesville straight track, 340 mts up a slight incline. They were super fit. The greyhound blokes used to be envious at how keen they were.
