  1. I use zoom grooms in the tub to soap up, I comb through conditioner and then I use a rake when blow drying and for weekly brushes/pre bath brushes
  2. I reckon around 2 years my GSD started getting a little white chin and then around 10 his eyebrows started to get some whites in them. I'm looking after an 8yr old Lab who has a little white mask and has had at least since he was 5 when I started caring for him. I've got an 8yr old and a 13yr old small crosses with no greys. My human brother started going grey around 14 - it's a male family trait and hence the middle name of all the boys in the line have 'Grey' as one of their middle names. A grey dog hair floated onto my 4month old nephew and we all joked that he was the youngest to go grey, teehee
  3. I remember the last time I attended an event with the D at EPIC, we got boxed in with our Wagon
  4. I saw this - looks just as uncomfortable and impractical as human designer items ;-)
  5. hah! We have just dished out some halved pig ears, I think my hustband just used kitchen scissors
  6. :) good to hear it's when the good outweigh the bad that the decision time comes hope he enjoys his dinner tonight
  7. I like that last photo of him rolling around
  8. Not sure how this would go http://www.ebay.com/itm/KYJEN-Slo-Bowl-Two-Cup-Interactive-Dog-Slow-Feeder-Bowl-Pick-Design-Color-/141104795938 I was recently looking after a Staffy that had the bottom left bowl, with both dry and wet food in it http://shop.kyjen.com/slo-bowls/ (Caribbean blue)
  9. awwww... I see we can foster RAAF puppies, cute!
  10. What we did with my old GSD and our younger SWF was drive them to the oval and let them both potter and chase the ball around and when the GSD had had enough he'd lie down and we'd keep playing with the little one. Initially we'd walk them to the oval but then I got worried he wouldn't make it home I think if my husband had a break he'd take the little one out for a walk in the middle of the day before the old one even knew he was home and missing out LOL I would also take them for walks and just go slower Enjoy your time together :)
  11. I remember in the middle of the day walking around our local shops and D got very spooked, protective and wary from a drunk/drugged person stumbling and wandering around. He also acted similar another time when an elderly person was shuffling along. Your 'friend' is an idiot.
  12. going back a bit Huski - that prance during your training breaks my heart, she is so friggen cute!!
  13. I think it's a positive step that might lead the way for actual change. I'm intersted in seeing what breeding standards might get up though
  14. I thought Jibs was getting a bit of this in his later years: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_sclerosis
  15. aww but they are so much fun!! Nah you don't have to get squeaky toys - how about those 'farty' noise toys like Cuz toys? I think if your dog does like that type of toy it would be a shame for them to miss out on the 'killing/pain noise' they get. We have a dog here atm the just LOVES rope toys and plastic bottles, she ignores all the intact squeaky toys and sticks to those.
  16. Yup I've given them to dogs whole just plopped in their dinner.. or you can pierce and squeeze out the oil
  17. Happy Birthday! - what a cutie :D What pressies did she get? the life jacket?
  18. When he did this 2 years ago was it the same time of year, same neighbourhood etc? How long did he take for him to come out Is it REALLY early in the morning? maybe he wants to sleep in? LOL
