I dont think there is such a thing as an ugly dog. They all have great qualities. Especially Cresties, I met Blacklabs, when she came through here a few years ago. Her crestie flirted with Fifi's Wolfhound. It was great to see.

I found a jar of peanutbutter in my backyard this arvo. Blake had pinched it from my cupboard.

I bought my house from someone who had 4 dogs. So the polished floors arnt in real good condition. I have 3 dogs so mine have kept up the pressure on the floors. But they are a lot easier to clean, although they show the dust and dirt.

I went to the PO yesterday to get info on mailing, you have to have the numbers for the area you are mailing to. The PO printed out a sheet for me with all the info on it. They were really helpfull.

I have just shared an apple with my three, they love apples.

Its a feed me thing, if you watch other animals, they do it to make mum bring up food that she has eaten.

Gilly is the big wagger in this house, but when Loulou was here, she out did everyone for wagginess. Especially when either of them see or smell something, the tail is the first sign. I was laying in bed the other day at my friends house, (dog sitting 9 dogs) all I could see of the dogs was tails. All of them were wagging in some way. BC's seem to hold them up and wag with feathers. I have to agree Labs are VERY waggy.

God it would be great, everyone had ferrets when I was a kid. They are rabbits for everyone up here, but they use 1080 for the wild dogs, so it isnt safe. Id love to watch good working ferrets. Nothing wrong with letting animals do what they are suposed to do.

There are a lot of foxes liveing in the cities especially Sydney. You never know, she may have moved them by now. I hate what they do to our fauna so you should ring the ranger.

Its also lets go out and find a mate time,up here. When snakes travel large distances. We have lots of tiger snakes up here. But ours are brown/green.

Ann told me as a warning TM, Loulou's love of snakes may kill her. I think thats what she may have done in her first home. Keelbacks are nice snakes, its the Roughscaled snake, that looks pretty well the same, that is a snappy bugger and poisness to boot.

Just dont call him Gay in his old gum tree.

Loulou caught a black snake the other day. First one of the season. She didnt kill it and she is lucky it didnt kill her.

Up here, spring means my dogs all go outside and lay in the sun.

I friend of mine used rat cages a while ago. She said they cost about $70.00. Dont forget you wont have just one rat, there will be more. They are pretty cleaver,maybe put some peanut butter or fruit, say banana in the cage. I know my pet rats love banana.

I also have to say JRT, my Loulou practically ate a fridge trying to get to a rodent. She damaged the fridge so much it died.I didnt know at the time. Gilly is a JRTXAussie he is just persistant, will stay untill the prey comes out, then he will stay, just because the smell is still there.

Badger the ratty,went to the bridge while he was asleep on my chest. He was a good boy and I loved him.

Straw or lucerne or even news paper can be used. I buy lucerne pellets that are sold as cat litter. They are 100% lucerne and good for the soil.

Maybe a sandpit? Somehwre she is allowed to dig.

I have a BC who looks 100, due to the many homes he had when young, I reacon he is around the same age as Bob, about 14 plus. My Gilly is 10 and in great nic. Bob and Gilly have been barf dogs nearly all their lives. And Blake the BC, for the last 8 to 10 years. Gilly has been to the vet once in the last 6 years, Bob's last visit was when he was desexed. Blake has had a cancer off his ear. Thats it for vet visits, Blake gets ear infections but I treat them. Bob and Blake get Sashas Blend once a day.
