  1. We used Joint Guard post TPLO. She's now moved to Glyde and I think it's heaps better.
  2. It really depends what you want. I have 3 and love them all to insanity but.... next time there will be only one. I had only one for 2.5 years. Then came my lady-hooligan and my great love aka foster failure. I find that having one "child" is easier and the relationship with my dog is much more fulfilling.
  3. You are welcome Niki. You may want to start with "The other end of the leash" by P.McC - it's fab too and a great into to the other one.
  4. I'll add "For the Love of dog" by Patricia McConnell. It's such a good read!
  5. Yes, they are great! One of my gals had pancreatitis some time ago and the treats did not do any harm. We now have 3 very keen supporters of these treats :D .
  6. Surely these are not the same dogs :D: Wonderful outcome. Huge congrats!!
  7. Yes, of course they scratch the floors. Depending on finish, you can use wax/polish or tung oil to give the floor the wonderful aged look :D
  8. Thank you so much for your help. I am willing to explore all options rather than put her through yet another course of antibiotics. Thanks Andisa Curash - that's a thought. Thank you lavendergirl Chinese Medicine....haven't thought of that for her even though my boy is on Chinese herbs. I'll do the search on DOL too. Thank you dancinbcs.
  9. Thank you for your advice. Unfortunately the Calendula Tea treatment failed. It was the first thing I tried and followed Erny's advice. Maybe I need to try that again
  10. My girl just cannot shake irritation under her chin. It's not raw, just irritated. She took 2 long courses of antibugs. I wash her chin in Malasep about 2 x week (helps for a while). We've looked at her diet, etc, etc. We are still almost at square 1 with the treatment. Is Calamine Lotion ok for dogs? Has anyone used it? Was it any good?
  11. Thank you for the pics (I think). Tomorrow I will transfer $ and let you know via a pm. All done This whole thing just makes me steaming angry! No words. Thank you to those who care!!!
  12. Cartophen is good but our mature girl seems to respond better to zydax Have a look at http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/166671-cartrophenzydax/
  13. Wonderful news. Congratulations JessLovesGreyhouds! What a great effort! Healing vibes to Jessie.
  14. Heartfelt condolences. We've also lost a fantastic vet (and a friend) a few years ago. RIP Dr Yates .
  15. Or you can do intra-articular AND intravenous - It worked great for us!
  16. You must miss her so much! I cannot imagine life without my 'failure' I got him... huge grin... and never regretted that decision. my baby boy
  17. My girl had TPLO done many years ago (~5 I think). Her 'improved' leg is great and we've had no probs at all. The only challenge was keeping her resting for the prescribed period. Good luck for Friday
  18. So true T! I think I am almost trained - basic level of course
  19. Wise post/advice as always :). Thank you Jed. I have 3 doglets. They are the same 'breed' but have different needs re training, food, activity level, etc. It takes time, patience and a whole lot of commitment to understand what suits your dog. BTW, I would not have it any other way!
  20. Beautiful photos as always but there is more.... Somehow they show your love for them - not sure I know how to express this in words. I think they are super special.
  21. Congratulations! So well done to all. He is one lucky boy!
  22. It is, on the face of it, nice :). But it makes you want to get home before dark, rather than after the neighbourhood has gone to sleep, lol. I guess I am lucky - great neighbours and no complaints. The dogs are inside at the front door so it's not a biggie
  23. I just don't get it Sowy What is so wrong with the dog getting excited/expressing joy about the pack leader re-joing the group? I cherish and welcome this sort of behaviour.
