I dont know anything about raising pups, but could you bottle feed the pup aswell? She may be sucking, but at least with a bottle you can see if she is actually getting the milk? Agree about the white pup too.

There used to be a big black cat in our street that would sit in wait in the hedge for me to walk past with my dogs and launch itself at them. Used to scare the life out of me, and since then my dally has hated cats with a passion. That dog really meant business.

I agree with Pers, your vet is a d#ck!!!! that's putting it mildy, and now he is reeling in the cash while you spend more money on meds which are not going to cure him. This dog is in pain, ALOT!!! Do the right thing, keeping him alive for your sake is cruel, are you waiting for him to die a slow painful death from bleeding internally? Had to be said.

Possible Panosteitis In Young Greyhound

where are you? my vets are greyhound vets, so might be worth a trip to see them. -
Is it an option to send her back to the breeder to whelp? Perhaps you offer her the pups in return? just a thought.
-
I agree with Pers, everyone wants a pup that is free, put $150 on the tag and they suddenly are not that keen, you need to weed out the ones that will dump it at the first sign of any effort. Its not going to be cheap to feed and vaccinate pups either, mention that to anyone interested.

Perhaps you could remove some of the slats to see out and mesh it?
-
Depends on breed, but a staffy would climb that in a second  There is a lot of wood to chew on that fence aswell, perhaps put the mesh on the inside. A clam shell full of sand to dig in? If thatsa tree inside, hang something to play with from it, old tyre?
-
Agreed, they charge $20 a bag more for VANS than I pay locally.

Ot, but my daughter takes her laptop to the toilet  ( and phone of course).

I'm not sure you can take pics of other people's property, but if you can its a good idea. you will need to spell it out to the reporter, they probably will have no idea about the law and could just get fobbed off by council, so you need to make it loud and clear what action they could have taken.
-
Good idea Have it all written down, and make the point that the council have the power to do something ,but are choosing not to.

Still oodles around here, with Bostons creeping in aswell.
-
Bottom line is, do you want to risk getting booted out and losing your bond, or can you make the garage into a cosy lounge room for them for a couple of months?
-
I agree, go and get some free lounges and carpet off gumtree or something and make it as warm and snug in the garage as you can, its not for that long.
-
Perhaps if she put him on the ground and let him walk they may not be so long! He is not a handbag.

Bassett Hound - 10 Yr Old Male

I only live 15 mins from HP , so if he needs picking up and holding (away from my hoons), I am happy to help or drop him somewhere. -
I agree with going to your local member, but also to start dropping in the liability , as they are aware of the dogs, that may scare someone into action.

I had the same dilema xmas day. My brother and his girlfriend are scared of dogs. My mum was here from the US, and she wanted us all here for xmas lunch, and suggested I keep the dogs locked in the garage allday!!! it was over 35 degrees most days here in Dec I said I could pop them in there for a while if they wanted to go outside for a swim, but that was it. They got the arse and wouldn't come, so we did xmas day in their tiny apartment, but at least I had a good excuse to leave, and come home to walk the dogs :)

What's The Worst Reaction Somebody Has Had To You Dog?
juice replied to dididog's topic in General Dog Discussion
I have the church pastor living next door, who is clearly terrified of dogs, and he has put his fear on his 4 children. he shields them with his body all huddled up if I walk past them. Whats sad is the little boy used to walk down the drive interested as I walked past, until he was cleary told what to do, the next time he saw me ,he screamed ( frightened the life out of me), shouted "dog" and ran upto the mum in the garge who said "well done". wtf is she teaching him? I have people cross the road to avoid us most days, the odd abusive comment," will they eat us" etc. I had an encounter with some kids at the lake recently, they came over and wanted to pat the dogs ,but were terrified, I stood them all calmly and gradually they patted the very back of them ,touching, then leaping back, they asked me all about them, and I tried to tell them as much as I could and how to be calm etc. they were all about 10ish I would say. -

Greyhound, or don't they like the look? Easiest dogs i have ever had. Sorry, just read the cat bit  -
I have noticed over the last couple of days my dally has a "wet dog" smell to him. I also noticed a crusty bit of hair behind his front leg, and when I went to pull at it a big crusty clump of hair came away, but its not bald underneath, its got short growth underneath. He had exactly the same the otherside behind his front leg. I have googled a bit, should I bathe him in some malsaseb? He is not itchy, or anything else, in fact if it wasn't for the smell I wouldn't have noticed anything was wrong.

My BT is on VANS and roo, its really easy to feed . She came to me as a mature kennel dog used to breed from ,and her skin was fine ( although she had dry eye), but after a while with me living in the real world and not a kennel, she started to get sores and itchy feet ,red, hair loss etc. After being on VANs it all cleared up, even the bouts of Pancreatis. However I would be interested in the DNA hair test,is it on their website? She now gets bumps around her eyes and on top of her head, I have removed everything in the garden and she is on Cephalexin, if I stop within 24 hours they come up again. I have tried antihistamines and alone they have no effect.
