  1. Totally agree. Something I loved, my sister took my favourite photo of my boy when he passed away and got a canvas made as a surprise. I was so amazed. I love it. It hangs over my bed :) Just thought it was a nice idea and you may like it too. RIP Kibah. hope you are doing ok too. I know it is hard.
  2. Very true :) He LOVES me, lets me do anything. Pretty much hates or merely tolerates anyone else. Depending on how nice he is feeling on the day haha My sister came and was patting him. I told her hat he didnt look happy and that it may be wise to stop, she didnt, and lo and behold he bit her haha Not hard, but it was a definite "stop that now." I wanted a ragdoll, but havent ever gotten one. Instead we got Max, who is now 13 ish months old. Who is half egyptian mao. Was an "oops" kitten from my friends cat. He is the friendliest cat ever. And half dog i swear  He is like you described Leo :) I will get some more photos from my USB in the morning :)
  3. I agree. they can be quite funny :)
  4. They could! I saw Leo and was like-OMG. Thats my cat! I think he is as well- after looking at pictures of them on google we couldn't really doubt it. There are quite a few similarities between Jasper and an angora. We did, he was from a kitten rescue here- Advertised in our vets office :) His picture was on the wall. We got him at 11ish weeks old :) Ill go even better. A photo for two photos! I would have uploaded more, but apparently they are too big :) And i feel no one wants to see that many photos of my cat
  5. Lovely pack! Your Leo looks so much like my Jasper! Who is part angora apparently.
  6. Thank you, i might grab a copy :D wow that was amazing. Thank you for sharing!
  7. Probably true. I have one, my old neighbours dog, who comes in once or twice a year. is ALWAYS super matted, but is the sweetest thing! So friendly and well behaved. Which is weird, because he is a backyard dog who gets no stimulation what so ever. I always felt so sorry for him. Especially because he is a great dog.
  8. i saw this the other day.. I was bit worried that he was going to catch a dog with his horns. My dog would have gone crazy if we were there.. and likely would have been hurt for it.
  9. This is an awesome facebook group :) Really helped me! https://www.facebook.com/groups/285200538202117/ Hopefully the link works-otherwise it is called raw feeding FRIENDS And the link to the post here from Persephone will also be super helpful :)
  10. i saw this on facebook the other day, it is amazing :)
  11. I also agree with this. It is terrible. Some of the things i have heard people say their breeder said astounds me. "My breeder said they don't need much grooming," or "my breeder said they were smart enough to not need obedience classes" both of which i have been told.. met with a bit of a on my side.
  12. I was on a train in Melbourne with Max once, and kind of sort of wanted someone to try and tell me to put a muzzle on her just so I could do the "she doesn't have a nose, how do you suggest I do that?" conversation
  13. Excuse the ignorance. It is a juice and you mix it in with their food? ETA: i though aloe vera was toxic to dogs? No Aloe Vera juice isnt toxic to dogs given in the correct amounts - even an overdose only causes runny poos and yes you give it to them with food. If they eat the plant then that can make them sick . Ive been giving it to my dogs and watching others use it for about 30 years now. Edited to add If you can find a book called Aloe Vera Natures Gift - Aloe Vera in veterinary Practice Written by a Vet David Urch its full of great info and suggested dosages etc. Awesome- I've got some reading to do!

  15. I think you are an exception to the rule! I am a dog groomer, and get many many oodles. Most are psychotic, unsocialised and spoilt. I have a total of 3 that are not. A groodle, a cavoodle, and a spoodle. I have so far never met a sane labradoodle. I am not sure how much of it is the breed, and how much of it is the people- i would say a combination of both.
  16. Totally agree. I haven't ever taken Deniki, not to any fault of his own I just have never gone to one while he is with me! Kokoda on the other hand has been to a few :) But brisbane is not super dog friendly in places. Having to tie them up away from the cafe etc. There is one awesome place nearby though that lets them sit outside and will bring water :) Most of the dogs there are well behaved.
  17. Chicken feet are an excellent natural source of glucosamine :) Maybe she can snack on them? ETA: If you do that maybe cut back a few of the bikkies :)
  18. I have one of these. My cav LOVES it! I used to to ride to the further parks and then would let him run around, then home again. But my bike broke, so it hasn't been used for a while. Note: don't buy bikes form Kmart
  19. i m so sorry Kirislin. She was a very lucky dog to have you as her owner. Kibah can run free without pain up at rainbow bridge.
  20. I do agree with that actually. It makes sense to do it the other way around. Eta: I mean your previous post. But the average pet owner is a bit different to the dog savvy people found here. And often don't even think about keeping their dogs away. But maybe the ribbon should be a different colour. As yellow could mean ok, rather than stay away.
