I had a book called Toby. It was about a golden retriever who died. I cry every time i read it now. But it had a lovely message :) And so sorry you are going through this.

yes i have seen the bedside table ones and always thought they were cool :) But i wouldn't really use them, as my dogs sleep on my bed

Yes, this happened to my CKCS. He was 7 and died one morning. Seemingly peacefully. But he was fit, healthy and had no prior issues. The vet suspected heart attack, or stroke, though i also chose not to get a necropsy done. So sorry to hear about your girl. RIP

I agree with this. he is obviously loved. but i feel maybe he should have been managed a little better. Or at least earlier. its not just bad for them, it could be dangerous for the dog. Maybe a friend will help. But still only if theyre trained a bit..

Snap! I was actually just thinking we needed a thread like this! Bella is gorgeous I love salukis, and have always wanted one. But i heard they are difficult to own, so maybe not for a while :) I love your two as well MavericksMission :) My pack currently consists of two cavaliers. And a kitten who walked into our house two days ago. I am going to see if he is owned tomorrow, taking him to be scanned for a chip and printing some flyers. I am thinking hes not as he is a bit skinny and flea infested. I have temporarilly named him Todd :D without further ado: Kokoda | 3 yr old Deniki | 1 yr old | My crazy boy Todd | Random cat - named for the fox in the fox and the hound :laugh: While I am at uni, i am living at home. So, I live with mums two cats also. Max and Jasper. Though Jasper is practically mine as he doesn't tolerate anyone but me :laugh: My sister is planning for a pug at the end of the year so if i dont leave by then we will truly be a zoo! ETA: spelling and add photo

WOW! Stunning pictures! I totally agree with this, and this reminds me of something that happened recently. i am not a 'good' photographer, but i do enjoy it. On my last family holiday i designated myself holiday photographer. We were skiing. I onlt took my camera with me one day, and i would stop and take photos whenever i saw something pretty. My favourite was a little pine tree, the sun was setting behind it, and you could see the outline of the ski lifts between its leaves. It was amazing. Everyone just said "why are you taking a photo of a tiny tree?" :laugh: Maybe one day they will understand too.

Anzac- i got him when i was 7 years old :) It took forever to convince my parents to buy me a puppy. After i learnt every dog out of the dog breed book they gave me, became a walking encyclopaedia and pointed out dog breeds on the street they gave in :laugh: I chose him out of his litter when he was only a week old. I just knew he was the right one. And i was right :) Sadly he passed away very suddenly when i was 13/14 of a suspected heart attack or stroke. He was at my feet at the time, i was so heartbroken i swore i wasn't going to get another dog for years. But then my life just felt empty without one. So along came Kokoda. Then Deniki. I kept in the ANZAC theme :)

I have two. Would love to go another, but being a poor student that is not going to happen for a while! :laugh:

Totally agree with this! Hate shaving the double coated dogs. I am always so happy when i manage to convince the owner not too :)

I just remember the general time they get it - Mid month. I write the exact day i give it to them on the box and will usually leave the box out during the mid week of the month so i dont forget it the day its due :) And then rewrite the date so i always know when it was last given.
