  1. Iris appeared so nonchalant on TV. So matter of fact. 'My' dogs were being attacked so I just protected them. Paws cross for a full recovery for her :D
  2. When I saw that on TV, I thought of you. What a gem Iris is. But how beautiful are those two Westies. Great outcome.
  3. http://www.winecountrycaravanpark.com.au/ The Mareemas enjoyed their stay here about 9 months ago.
  4. I need a human one. So hot today in the Hawkesbury.
  5. What a wonderful chance Rocky got when you replied to the ad. We meet dogs like Rocky, and they are part of our hearts for always. I shed tears reading of your efforts to do the very best for this beautiful boy. When that hardest of hard choices needed to be made, you stood strong and gave Rocky your ultimate gift of love. Thank you for being so selfless for him. I am convinced Rocky will be at The Rainbow Bridge playing with my Gabor & my Tibor. All of them are now waiting for us & that happy day of reunion. Run free, sweet Rocky. Love to you Rebecca
  6. Specimen goes into a special tube that prevents drying out if used correctly. Dr Jean Dodds has these tests down to a fine art in terms of sending all needed to supply speciemens, instructions on how to & is oonly an email away if there are problems. Kamuzz, in the OP, has posted the site. It's most interesting to read.
  7. Change of the colour of street signs by different Councils rates high for me.
  8. I am so very sorry to read this news. But I know you & your wife held Jazz so very close right to the end. How hard you fought for her and how bravely Jazz battled. Rest Well, Jazz. Free now.
  9. Must say these dogs ( and their hoomans) are bluidy lucky to have such a caring Groomer. The mad SIL used to have a poodle which would come back from grooming in a right mess. Yep, efforts had been made to pluck the ear canals. Poor puppy would be poorly for days after that trauma. We did finally get the message thro' to leave his ears alone. I shudder to think what happened with other dogs.
  10. In OZ, it is also known as Remeron and is mainly prescribed for depression ( in humans). A bonus is appetite stimulation. Prescirbed for both dogs and cats here.
  11. HeeHee! Lots of us dream of not spending more monies on puppies. I put my hand up and say I, too, am weak. Deciding on the next crate... :D
  12. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well Done for getting recognition.
  13. Avoid the stale supermarket types. Another thing to use is ginger. DaddyVizsla eats lots of Japanese ginger & he used to say how much it help his OA pains.
  14. Agree about Ruthless Leather. To do a little enabling, how about Rogue Royalty as well? http://www.rogueroyalty.com.au *coughs* I a certain red collar & lead mit hearts. For adorable boy dogs, aka Ernie, the Shogun model is great.
  15. Our breeder is saying the same thing. Horrible Herbert's litter was one of 6 puppies. 5 dogs & one bitch. In this litter 2 males & the bitch are kinda your ordinary (healthy) dogs. But the 3 males who were the first 3 born are rambunctous, obnoxious, over-the-top, adorable brats. Sharp as whips & amenable to train IF they want to at that particular time. To make you laugh, the first born puppy pooped on a chair at a dog show simply because he could. All three are digging holes in their respective back yards 18 inchces apart. Herbert blitzed his class in recall and the tunnel on his first lessons. He's exhausting, and totally adorable. For heavens sakes, I am up at 6:00am so he can have a walk & some training. Totally unheard from this couch potato old Momma. :D
  16. My replies are for Vizslas. All of our dogs, including the bitches were tested for HD. Scores were low for all of them. The older dogs spent time in both the USA & the UK when they were young. It was preferable to have them tested for the few litters produced. Not requried for registration. More owners are having their dogs scored, especially overseas. We are becoming more serious in Australia as regards HD and 'proper' breeding practices. Maybe for part 2, you could ask if HD is done by breeders at their discretion ( or similar). Puppy is not old enough yet. If he manages to get his Championship points, he too will be scored. :D
  17. X two here. the Ruff Wear Webmaster has an additional strap that goes behind the rib cage,...it's the only thing my guy cannot slip out of :) Love it. Simply love it.
  18. You forgot they are litter brother and sister so they could not mate, could they?
  19. My best recommendation would be K9 Pro at Londonderry http://www.k9pro.com.au/ Might an Ams staff puppy be joining your home? ( I checked your other posts LOL). I'll be waiting for photos. :D

Not sure if SA could be an option but maybe with enough time etc... Here's her profile http://www.dolforums.com.au/user/1787-pawsaroundoz/ Going to follow this topic. Useful info to have. :)
  21. aw, shucks... it's not pathetic to be concerned about your wee man. It's overwhelming to try to be on top of everything you are doing to help Danny. Danny knows how much you love him.
