Any Ideas On Breed Of My Pup

Whatever she is, she is very, very cute with her cheeky grin & crazy long spider legs!

For what it's worth, I can't see any bull breed in there, or at least not much at all.

I definitely can't see any Malinois there, as someone suggested - the long nose & black muzzle gives sort of a superficial resemblance, but everything else about her is wrong. Lots of breeds have have long black faces.

Yep that was me, and was my first initial reaction when I saw her face... but I agree, superficial only  The body just doesn't fit... I wouldn't be suprised to find a cross with a kangaroo in there though with those lovely long legs and that ultra long tail!!

She is a real beauty. I hope she gives you many good years together ;)

I'm a sucker for dogs with long, gangly legs... I have one too  Fortunately she seems to have grown into hers a bit ;)

My best guess would be that she's got Dane, Greyhound or Whippet and something else in there!

Nice Rottie by the way. I lubs Rotties.

yes GSD = German Shepherd Dog

I don't see Dane in her; I think the long legs come from sight-hound. The ears, head, leggy-ness, and slight curve in the back sll say sight-hound to me.

Danes have big heads, big jowls, and big floppy ears, and I'm not seeing much of that - mainly I'm seeing lots of cuteness hehehe

I would think smooth saluki a bit unlikely ... as dogs bred for hunting are usually from fairly easily available breeds ,like bull breeds/greyhounds/deerhounds.

I had a 'pig dog' I rescued.. near as we could tell he was deerhound X dane.

I think your girl will be VERY pretty when she matures and grows into those legs

With that ear set I'd suggest the sighthound is unlikely to be Saluki, it's probably one of the rose-eared ones like a Greyhound, Whippet etc.

I don't know about a roo dog, but in this pic her back legs and tail look just like a roo

She is gorgeous and I look forward to seeing her develop

the pet shop was 100% her mother was american staffy.

..... and Souff's mother was a butterfly

I see a lot of hound characteristics in her but I don't see much that reminds me of an Amstaff.

There are alot of " Kangaroo dogs " like your girl being bred in WA Kels .......they are used to hunt pigs , kangaroos , foxes and rabbits . Unfortunately they tend to have large litters and the ones that aren't kept by the hunter or sold often end up in Perth petshops :) I have a staghound x myself ( was one of 14 )and did alot of research about them . My boy wasn't as leggy as your pup at the same age but is now full grown and 30inches at the shoulder and weighs around 40 kilos ! He is a beautiful dog but his prey drive really kicked in when he was about 2 years old and although very well socialised with lots of foster dogs , kittens etc .....cannot be trusted with anything furry that moves fast ......he can catch and kill a mouse quicker than the cats !!

You can look on a site called kangaroodogs which is run by a couple of guys in WA to get an idea of how your pup may turn out . There is a black with cream points and feet dog on there which from memory does have saluki in it's breeding apparently aswell as a couple of other breeds . They are mainly deerhound/wolfhound /greyhound x and turn up regularly in the country pounds we rescue from :)
