  1. Just wanted to clarify - are you putting Advantix on their ears? Or applying it monthly as a drip-on?
  2. Sometimes the most beautiful butterflies have the shortest lives.
  3. Is yours the same thing as the one Ruthless posted? Schemes to herself about getting Juice to take up bike riding
  4. Hope it all goes well for Polly dog tomorrow
  5. How about a consult with a doggie physio? Some stretching exercises might help her regain her confidence about that leg?
  6. Looks great in that photo. Do you think it is this one, even though they seem to come only in red? Any idea what size yours is? My GSD is a little toughie, she weighs just on 30kgs. She was bred by Karen Hedburg and we know her hips are good.
  7. What does +R mean? as in "Any little obedience exercises taught with +R training are ideal."
  8. Thanks for the link. Jatz is two years old. She is not all ball or toy orientated, which makes trying to think of ways to exercise her harder.
  9. Our dog Jatz needs more exercise than we are currently giving her, and the trainer suggested getting her a backpack that we can add weight to (e.g. water bottles) so she works harder over the same distance. Can anyone suggest where to find a backpack like this? She is a GSD.
  10. What breed are we talking about here? Think we can guess from your signature but better to check these things.
  11. Turkey is a natural source of Tryptophan - they recommend this as a remedy for people with sleep issues. Not sure why I think this is relevant to this topic
  12. With my two I start out holding one leash in each hand. Once the initial enthusiasm has toned down, I hold both leads in my left hand. Jatz tends to walk in front of me and Coda behind. I know that some trainers (like Cesar Millan) say the dog should never be in front of you, but walking two dogs next to you takes up too much room I find. As long as no one is pulling I tend not to mind where they walk.
  13. You know I also vote for them. I know they are "expensive" but Zammit isn't any cheaper.
  14. Would like to come along too - do the deposits go to you or straight to Steve?
  15. If the vet thought it was ok would they doing tests to find out the cause? Surely any sudden change to normal behaviour that continues past a couple of days should be investigated, and it sounds like that is what the owners are doing. Better to ask your vet now than wish you had later, in my book.
  16. I voted Eukanuba - recommended to me by a breeder as being very good for GSDs
  17. Isn't one of the differences between the two collars that one has a rechargable batteries and the other takes batteries. You could always talk to Steve at K9 force - he is a distributor for them and also stocks another model. He might be able to advise you on the best model for a pug. My GSD girl was debarked by her previous owner. She sure ain't quiet.
  18. RIP Ferg Hope you have your friends close by at this time.
  19. hannahh at least it was quick and she had a happy time earlier.
  20. Good point Clyde - maybe Harry needs a stuffed toy to be able to play with, as roughly as he likes. And then, as peibe suggested, Harry needs to be taught how to behave around the rabbit?
  21. And if your vet has prescribed it for you before.
